Oh you used the canned email link, don't use that one. don't use the signed the petition one! Theres another link to a subsite. Look to the right of the grey window and you will see Advitizer Database click on that one then on the next screen over on the right side near the top you will see another link labeled Email all advertisers in this market use that one.
Here let me make it easy for everyone
This is the link to the Advitizers Database
Then look for the tiny link that looks like this Email all advertisers in this market and click on it. _________________ Proud to be an American! and member of the PAJAMAHADEEN

That was my thought exactly. I tried to use their system and could not change the heading. I was concerned that if I did use their system it would revert back. Therefore I didn't use it.
Looking for alternative way of notifying the advertisers.
Great letter Mr. Chamberlain. May I paraphrase? _________________ KP

Please paraphrase or copy to your heart's content.
And I agree that we should not use their mail system. Just look up the advertisers listed for your local outlet and email them one by one from your own email system.
This may work better for two reasons: 1 - if the companies are getting a lot of email from this one server used by the Kerry-troglodytes, they may easily block email from that server; 2 - it shows the companies that we are willing to invest some effort in what we are doing and are likely to carry through on what we say. _________________ Bob

I basically edited their bs and wrote this and sent it off. They probably just edit it back though.
Because you are an advertiser on affiliates owned by Sinclair Broadcast Group, I am sending you this email to ask that you to uphold the First Amendment right Freedom of Speech. We are all old enough and smart enough to evaluate the validity of Stolen Honor. I would like to see it so that I can make an informed decision. Thank you for your time. _________________ The war against terrorism is not that Americans might die rather that we would alter our way of living. I sent mine:
I am sending you this email to ask you to SUPPORT Sinclair Broadcasting by buying advertising time from any Sinclair television station that airs the documentary "Stolen Honor". "Stolen Honor" is an excellent documentary about John Kerry and his Vietnam War experience, and how he betrayed veterans and POW's. The voting public has a fundamental right to the information in this documentary.
PLEASE SUPPORT Sinclair Broadcasting by advertising during the broadcast of "Stolen Honor". |

I used the send to all function and edited the text to read:
Because you are an advertiser on affiliates owned by Sinclair Broadcast Group (SBC), I am sending you this email to ask that you support SBCs decision to broadcast "Stolen Honor," a documentary about John Kerry and his Vietnam War experience. In the eyes of millions of Americans who want their public airwaves used responsibly, this broadcast is to be commended, especially since the mainstream media has continued to show its bias in its own reporting. Without an equal opportunity to show both sides of the story, how is the American public going to learn the truth.
Please do not surrender to those that would silence this broadcast. SBC has offered Senator Kerry an opportunity to participate - it is up to him to put up or shut up. It should not be silenced by those that do not want both sides of the issue to get a fair hearing.
As an advertiser, you are in a unique position to defend a balanced media, which makes our democracy possible. You are also in a position to protect your image, which may suffer if you silently allow the pressure tactics of those wishing to censor SBC to succeed. While there is talk of boycotts by those wishing to censor SBC, I can assure you that I would not want to support a organization that supported such censorship efforts. Americans are organizing through the power of the internet. You can protect your brand's image by supporting the decision of Sinclair and by refusing to associate yourself with the bad politics of censorship.
Thank you for your time. |

One of the big problems with their idea of “Hitting Sinclair where it hurts, in the wallet”.. Is that they don’t realize that when these people pull their advertisements and money, that its coming out of the pockets of the Salespeople who they worked with. IE, a 24 y/o salesgirl out of collage trying to make a living…
Of course, the salespeople have no choice in the matter of programming.. |

I used the link posted by azpatriot and Email all advertisers in this market at the top of page 2. It opened up my email (Outlook) with a blank message with all the addresses filled in. I added a blind copy to myself to make sure it sent what I intended, and it worked perfectly.
I won’t post my message because I mostly plagiarized the excellent one posted by Bob Chamberlain. Thanks to all. |

I seem to recall similar tactics being used by the Kerry campaign in an attempt to stifle the free speech of the SBVT. In that case lawyers were hired in an attempt to threaten and intimidate stations into not carrying the first SBVT ad. Only one station caved and the dem strategy backfired.I find it interesting that dems and liberals have such a difficult time with the concepts of free speech and a free press. |
