Matt ready to put money where vote is

Hometown hottie Matt Damon doesn't rest when it comes to politicking for his presidential pick John Kerry - even whilst in Germany!

``I would pay $1 million to have Kerry in the White House,'' the actor said at the premiere of ``The Bourne Supremacy'' in Berlin the other night.

Because we all know how important those German swing voters will be in the election next month!

So it comes as no surprise to learn that ``South Park'' creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone picked Jason Bourne's alter ego as one of their Hollywood lefties to lampoon in their new controversial puppet flick, ``Team America: World Police.''

As you are so aware by now, the expletive-laden cinematic romp follows an ungangly bunch of marionette heroes who fight off a group of terrorists led by North Korean dictator Kim Jong Il.

In the midst of their efforts to save the world, a team of Tinseltownies - Damon, Alec Baldwin, Tim Robbins, Susan Sarandon, Sean Penn, Danny Glover, Janeane Garofalo, George Clooney and Ethan Hawke - gathers in Korea to stage a peace conference.

Strangely, Stone and Parker decided to make Damon, a one-time Harvard student, mentally disabled.

``We started getting the puppet molds back for the actors, but you can only use one skull that these faces go over, so sometimes you'd get a puppet that looked close and sometimes you just didn't,'' Parker told ComingSoon.net. ``I remember the Matt Damon one we were supposed to shoot that day, and the puppeteers came down and were like, `Here's Matt Damon!' and we were like `Dude! That doesn't look like Matt Damon! He looks retarded!' ''

But Stone and Parker think that Damon won't have any problem with their crude representation.

``Honestly, out of all those people, we've met Matt Damon before, and he's actually a pretty cool guy and a talented actor. It's just because his puppet was screwed up that he got voiced that way,'' Parker explained.

But it seems that Stone and Parker can't spare any love for Damon's BF - and John Kerry groupie - Ben Affleck.

The boys say that Ben's wooden acting helped them with their puppets.

``We watched `Pearl Harbor' just to get the nuances of the puppets just right when they were looking at each other and you know, we really used Ben Affleck as a model,'' Parker told DarkHorizons.com.

Ah, ouch!
