"I had forgotten that Mrs. Bush had worked as a school teacher and librarian, and there couldn't be a more important job than teaching our children. Well, at least she was smarter than John was about the Mary Cheney thing and actually apologized. Dangit, I guess I have to give her a 'small' amount of credit for that.

Its an elitist attitude to judege someone as not having a "real" job. who is she to decide whose job is real or not. it doesnt matter she said she was sorry. the point was that she deemed to judge the First Lady in an attempt to put her down.

Okay, so part of my life has been revalidated. Let me see if I have this right: When I was a teacher I had a "real" job, and now that I am a mom I have a "fake" job. Honey, no more house cleaning, laundry, bill paying, taxiing the kids around, helping with homework, settling disputes, staying up doctoring sick kids, etc... I am only doing "fake" work from now on! Rolling Eyes

Just today, my 14 year-old daughter said, "Mom, can you just imagine that woman being our first lady?? She's not even a lady".

It's hard to compare her to Laura Bush, who happens to be one of the greatest first ladies I've ever seen, IMO.

The liberals aren't idiots, although sometimes they appear that way, they have a large staff of people whose job it is to keep Hanoi John and Ketchup Woman from screwing up. I'm really surprised they let Ketchup Woman talk at all. She embarasses them every time she says something in public.
