WASHINGTON —Sen. John Kerry has a simple strategy if the presidential race is in doubt on Nov. 3, the day after the election: Do not repeat Al Gore’s mistakes.
Unlike the former vice president, who lost a recount fight and the 2000 election, Kerry will be quick to declare victory on election night and begin defending it. He also will be prepared to name a national security team before knowing whether he’s secured the presidency.
This all sounds totalitarian to me, I'm afraid to say.
He'll declare victory, name his "security team" ... and what will the "security team" do thereafter? Go out and terrorize people? If he declares "victory," will he then attempt to challenge the president's authority on decision making?
Will he attempt to give orders to the U.S. military? Order an immediate Iraq pullout?
Will he demand to sign legislation?
What?

I was glad to see this topic.
When I heard this today I got so angry. So, what is this idiot saying, that no matter how the vote comes in, he is president.
This is unbelievable. Isn't this called a "coup"? Why have an election?
This scares the living s... out of me. _________________ Sister to a Marine vet who served in Vietnam and proud of it.

What Kerry is hoping for is an outright overwhelming victory. Failing that if the situation is anywhere close to 2000 regarding votes/fraud/courtfights, he will name his cabinet, advisers, etc., and hope to sway popular opinion that he is the legitimate victor. Of course he is hoping a state judge(s) (most of whom are elected) will in turn, be swayed by the populace. Federal judges, appointed for lifetime. are usually not swayed but even they have been known to listen to what people are saying.
On another level is this an admission that he is in trouble? Remember our cry, NO COMPLACENCY. Do not be lulled into anything, keep the mail going and the phones ringing.

This is EXACTLY why the Founding Fathers proposed and ratified the Second Amendment to our Constitution. |

According to Doug Hathaway, former Clinton kneepad organizer, they don't even care if it is not close. _________________ US Army Security Agency

That's right, doesn't matter if it's close or not. Now, if that doesn't scare people what will? This traitor has got himself set up as the president already by merely stating what his campaign issued today. No matter who you vote for, I am president come Nov. 2nd and my lawyers will take care of the little matter of the people's ballots. _________________ Sister to a Marine vet who served in Vietnam and proud of it.

One can just never tell when that Second Amendment will come in hand. |
From a recent case in the 9th Circuit:
...."The right to “keep and bear arms”
is a fundamental liberty upon which the safety of our Nation
depends, and it requires for its efficacy that an individual right
be recognized and honored.
I reach this conclusion despite a recognition that many may
think that these ideas are outmoded, that there is no risk in
modern times of our government becoming a tyranny, and
that there is little threat that others would invade our shores
or attack our heartland. However, the Second Amendment
was designed by the Framers of our Constitution to safeguard
our Nation not only in times of good government, such as we
have enjoyed for generations, but also in the event, however
unlikely, that our government or leaders would go bad. And
it was designed to provide national security not only when our
country is strong but also if it were to become weakened or
otherwise subject to attack. As the people bear the risk of loss
of their freedom and the pain of any attack, our Constitution
provides that the people have a right to participate in defense
of the Nation. The Second Amendment protects that fundamental
right."

Makes a lot of sense why the traitor would like to ban the 2nd Amendment now doesn't? _________________ Sister to a Marine vet who served in Vietnam and proud of it.

He talks a good talk, but..... Since he is not the sitting President,
he'll have to go through the courts. Anyone he appoints to his
"cabinet" and whatever else may not be willing to cast their lot
with Kerry if and when it falls through. The military is definitely
not on his side. Remember when Gore lost? No one loved Al
Gore sooooo much as to risk their live or livelihood to fall on a
sword for him. You'd think they would have made Gore a martyr,
raised a big fuss and then ran him again in 2004. Instead he's
off to the side ranting and raving.
I bet the Clintons secretly relish Kerry going down in flames, it will
give the impetus to steal all the elections in 2008 to put Hillary in.
The last thing those two want is 8 years of Kedwards, then another
8 of Edwards. |

Well, they did make him a martyr, but yeah, no one fell on their sword.
The stakes are BIGGER this time - Supreme Court Justices who will be replaced during the next presidential term. There is nothing the dems want less than to have conservative judges sitting there. I don't think the Clintons are going to sabotage this. If they wanted they could have had him down by now. I think they decided to sacrifice Hilary until 2008 or 2012 in order to make sure they have their activists judges in place. From what I understand in everything I am reading on this, that 3 judges are going to go in the next 3 years. _________________ Sister to a Marine vet who served in Vietnam and proud of it.
