|
|
Tomorrow I am getting out my phone book and I am going to call people starting with the A's. I'm going to ask them a series of questions that I haven't decided on yet but I am thinking like this:
Hi I'm a neighbor of yours and I'm conducting a poll for The Pajama Journal about the effect of the media in the presidential election. Can you spare a minute to answer a few questions, it will be a huge help?
Assuming I don't get the dial tone, beging questioning.
1. How do you get most of your news?
A. Paper
B. Network
C. Cable
D. Internet
2. Have you heard of the Swift Boat Vets and POWs for Truth?
3 Are you aware a contraversial documentary featuring the POWs will be on chanel 15 Friday evening at 9pm?
4. Do you plan to watch?
5. Have you heard about the fake memo scandal at CBS?
6. Had you heard reports of sKerry's Naval discharge being less than honorable?
7. Have you heard reports that sKerry has not released all of his military records?
8. Are you between the ages of 18-25 25-35 35-50 50-65 or 65+
9. Are you registered to vote?
10. Did you know you could vote early? Have you voted early?
11. Are you Dem, Rep, or Ind?
11. Which candidate gets your vote?
12. Have you ever heard of pajamajournal.com?
Thats it.
If i call enough people I should accomplish a) knowing how good or bad we are doing in this area. b) informing a few uninformed about some of our key points and about early voting. c) giving them an ez way to get more information should they be curious.
Any other ideas for questions or thoughts on the ones I thought of? _________________ Deborah

add radio to news list
also, when you call, i suggest you leave the questions for the swift boats and kerry for last, otherwise, if a kerry fan will hang up on you, thinking it is a biased call - can at least grab their attention first before hitting them, then they may stay on line. _________________ May God Bless us all and let truth reign. |

Run through the questions and figure out how long the survey will take. If someone calls me and says it takes approx. 5 minutes, then I'm ok with it. Over 10-15 and I'm outta there! _________________ -------------------

LOL...Every time I think of that black guy saying he registered 35 times, then said, "thats a lot" and started giggling like a school girl.....I just bust out in laughter. Then my senses come to me and it is kinda scary this is happening on more than one occasion!
Dmackto,
Good luck with your survey! I'll make sure to check in your blog for the results |

I'm still working on the poll.
So far I have come to two conclusions. One, polling is time consuming work. Two, I am living in the midst of ambulatory rocks.
Updates coming soon to a msg board near you. _________________ Deborah

16. Have you heard John Kerry's 1971 testimony before the Senate?
17. How many American soldiers committed war crimes in Vietnam?
(choice of None, A Few, Many, All, I don't know)
18. Did John Kerry negotiate with America's enemies in 1970?
19. Should an American president base his actions on an enemy's promise?
20. Should a non-diplomat be allowed to negotiate with America's enemy?
21. Whose policies toward the Soviet Union were more successful: those of Jimmy Carter or Ronald Reagan?
22. Is the United States safer without Saddam Hussein in power?
23. Would an immediate withdrawal of American troops help or hurt Iraq?
(choice of Help, Hurt, or No Effect)
24. Would an immediate withdrawal of American troops help or hurt Afghanistan? (choice of Help, Hurt, or No Effect)
25. Should the United States provide nuclear fuel to Iran, while that country is working on nuclear weapons?
26. Should the United States negotiate directly with North Korea alone, or should Russia, China, Japan, and South Korea be involved in negotiations with North Korea?
27. Is the United Nations honest and impartial, or can it be corrupted?
28. Do you trust the United Nations to act in the best interests of the United States?
29. Do you believe that the United States needs the approval of France before committing troops overseas? (same question about Germany, Russia, and China)
30. Do you believe that George W. Bush would re-institute the draft if he was re-elected?
31. Do believe that John Kerry would re-institute the draft if he was elected? _________________ The traitor will crater! |

I love those questions but we have an emergency and I have to pause the survey to deal with it.
I am going to be posting over in the Stolen Honor Folder in just a minute. Please keep an eye out for the thread. We are all going to be needed. _________________ Deborah
