I watched something on German television last night about the view of our election from Europe. When the subject of Foreign Policy came up, and they discussed Kerry's "plan" to build alliances, one guy said it best.
He said, The militarys in Europe are a product of the welfare state. The fact is, Europe does not have the soldiers to send into Iraq. The average age of the German Soldier is 38 years old and the French have more hairdressers than soldiers.
Needless to say, the other panelists were not happy with this guy....but I was cheering that finally somebody in Germany is getting it right. _________________ Regards,
