Anti-Kerry documentary available for free

Quote:

Washington, DC, Oct. 22 (UPI) -- The controversial documentary on Sen. John Kerry's anti-Vietnam War activities will be made available free to the public, it's producer said Friday.

Producer Carlton Sherwood said "Stolen Honor" would be available on the Internet Monday and would also be available for screening or broadcasting.

"I want to be sure that every American who wants to see this film is allowed to do so," he said in a news release. "Therefore, I am offering the film publicly to anyone who wants to see it.

"In addition, any media entity brave enough to air 'Stolen Honor' can contact us for a license to air the film, provided the entity will air the film in its entirety, and so too any individual who wants to show or broadcast it."

"Stolen Honor" looks at Kerry's activities as spokesman for Vietnam Veterans Against the War and its impact on Americans held prisoners by the North Vietnamese.

Sinclair Broadcasting was to have aired the documentary in its entirety on its 40 channels nationwide next week, but will now only show excerpts following threatened boycott and legal action by groups that claim Sinclair was giving the Bush campaign free advertising.

At your link: http://washingtontimes.com/upi-breaking/20041022-105218-1146r.htm there is actually no information about how to see or obtain a free "Stolen Honor" video.
If you click the Ad box within the article it takes you to https://www.newsmaxstore.com/contribute/stolenhonor/?refid=939 which states:
"All sponsors of $30 or more will receive a DVD or VHS tape of this important documentary."
Thats a long way from free. I sure hope they come through on their promise.

I suspect the news site controls the ads in the ad boxes. There is a different ad there now.

I presume that since Mr. Sherwood is quoted as saying it will be free, we will learn more about it before the viewing date on Monday. There is no information on the Stolen Honor website as yet. http://www.stolenhonor.com

Stolen Honor is out in the warez scene...its good to see people watching the movie, but it takes money out of the pocket of the producers of this Documentary

BTW, don't bother asking where I've seen it, because I will not tell anyone

The free download will not be available until Monday, as per the story.

Please donate if you can - or use the PPV Internet link and see the movie for $4.99

They're going to need the money to pay for the huge increase in bandwidth that this movie will cause.

Thank heavens so many people purchased the DVD - at least they were able to recoup most or all of the production costs before they decided to make it available free.

You can still order the DVD for $19.99 ($22.98 including shipping) which
I just did. I was concerned about downloading with dial-up and I want
the DVD to keep anyway. Buying it will not only support the producer
but will count if anyone is keeping track of how many are being sold.
I agree with the others here that making whatever donation you can
will help prevent financial loss for the people offering free download.
