I couldn't believe what I saw tonight!

But what is the real story? Didn't Thurlow actually get a Bronze Star and didn't the Citation say that it was for an action under enemy fire? What's the explanation for that happening if there was no enemy fire?

I haven't heard O'Neil's response. Is what that jerk screeching about correct or not?

This was good. O'Donnell made a fool out of himself yet again. All he did was give more fuel for talk radio next week. You'll be hearing this again on Rush & Hannity, etc. KEEP MELTING DOWN, KERRY PEOPLE! BRING IT ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Didn't see this thread but I started my own with this text; sorry for the double post.

Watching this show explains why common sense has taken a backseat to politics in this nation. Lawrence O'Donnell is out of control, worse than Al Gore giving a speech on voting rights. Until watching this I just thought O'Donnell was some liberal writer for the "West Wing", a show totally based on fiction as no real economist would ever be a Democrat: socialism doesn't work so why try it and economists are realists. However, he seeks to discredit the messenger(O'Neil) rather than disprove the message and that makes me sick. O'Neil has stood up to so many personal attacks that I wonder why he isn't running for office. I guess it's just interesting to see two Irishmen go at each other but O'Neil's rhetoric is based on fact and O'Donnell's is based on calling the other man a liar. Why can't the Democrats just give up for four years and try to get a real candidate. Liberman is the first on who comes to mind for me. Winning isn't everything and they need to start planning for the post-Clinton years where people care about things like integrity and honesty and not just about winning.

If O'Donnell had stopped yelling you would have herd the Theourlo's(sp?) bronze star and Kerry's said there was enamy fire. But most of the men there said that there was none. John was also tring to say that the report that was the basses of the citations was written and sent from a Cost Gaurd cutter and the only Officer that was involved in the fight that was on the Cutter was Kerry. So in effect Kerry wrote what would eventually be the language that is one both his and Theorlo's Bronze star citation.

Give my regards to that Brownshirt Laurence O'Donnell. With his raving lunatic performance tonight, he has revealed to all Undecided voters who watched -- and I hope they ALL did -- exactly what we can expect from a Kerry presidency: They will silence the truth by any means, whether it be threats from their Democratic lawyers or their journalistic hacks who shout down the opposition so that it cannot be heard.

O'Donnell has outlived his usefulness. Please now do us all a favor: get him off the air.
