Plane crashes right before an election are sKerry. If Senator Heinz' plane hadn't crashed, Teresa Heinz wouldn't have been Kerry, and he would have had to finance his own campaigns.

There was also Mel Carnahan's plane crash in 2000, which gave us his wife in the Senate, and the loser (John Ashcroft) became Attorney General. Then Paul Wellstone's plane crash in 2002, which led to a Democrat pep rally at his funeral...although that probably backfired and gave a Minnesota Senate seat to a tough Brooklyn boy named Norm Coleman.

There were also two planes that crashed into the World Trade Center and one into the Pentagon, and they might decide this election!
