|

Just now on Fox's Your World with Neil Cavuto it was stated that Europe will boycott the US because of the Iraqi war. They said they will stop buying our procucts, such as Coke, Marlboro Cigarettes, etc.
I say good!!!!! Send our stuff back home to us and will be just fine without you or your money! |

Just what does Europe sell us.
Most of the foreign stuff I buy says Made in Japan, Pakistan, Korea, Mexico, Malaysia, Israel, India, Guatamala, Thailand, Vietnam, Chile, Brazil and just about anywhere except Europe.
Do they actually buy anything From us?

I say it won't happen. They like American products too much, and does this include such things as CD's by their favorite American rock groups?
I wonder who is doing the talking for ALL of Europe? I just find it hard to believe that they will never ever buy anything from us ever again. Close down the McDonald's overseas then!

France has been boycotting soap and deodorant for many years, even before the first Gulf War. I lived in France from 1985-1995, and if you want to know about a soap and deodorant boycott, take a whiff in a crowded French subway station!
That's why they sell expensive perfume to US!!! _________________ The traitor will crater! |

I love european wines - but.... I like California wines even better and Oregon wines even better than that. Many states are making great wines today - our mini breweries brew a better beer and ale than most europeans.
I guess I will not give up my Italian wine as long as Italy remains our ally.
They will be the big losers not us ......have at it _________________ "Si vis pacem, para bellum" |

The french will not admit it but, they had many of their grape vines die. They had to use ours to replant. I forgot where I heard that though. _________________

I say we storm Normandy one more time, set up a perimeter, and bring our boys from that god-forsaken cliff back home, I've always thought(even as moving as the cemetary at Normandy is) that the boys should be brought home...
And then the hell with Europe. _________________ A common mistake people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.

Other than cars, I dont think that Europe manufactures many things that we buy, but European owned companies produce alot of things that are made elsewhere.

You are so right - their vinyards were all but destroyed during WWII and they were replenished by California - so in essence the French wines are California wines _________________ "Si vis pacem, para bellum" |

I think an American boycott on the offending countries would be much more harmful than a boycott on our products but what do I know. I've been boycotting French products since 2002 and I have family in France.
They ain't happy with Chirac either. _________________ Deborah
