Folks, Joe's remark on the last Friday show is hilarious.
"P.S. I'm back on the show tonight so hopefully we will not see a replay of Friday night's spitting match when one of our guests bit the leg of another while urinating on the leg of Pat Buchanan. Fortunately, Pat was in spandex."

MAXX,
That parallels a thought I had a few pages back. The only thing is, there are a fairly significant % of people who respond to that sort of invective, probably because, I suppose, this is how they think and talk at home. Believe me, I've seen it more often than I care to admit. Sad but true. (Otherwise, how do you explain James Carville?) So, the problem is, what % of those people vote? _________________ Paul R. |

O'Donnell got stuffed and mounted.
OK so where is the apology to J. O'Neill? _________________ kerry returned to the United States on July 22, 1971, held a press conference publicly calling on President Nixon... for the surrender of the United States to North Vietnam. |

Pat Buccanan apologized for Larwence O'Donnell tonight. O'Donnell wasn't on, but he should apologize when he's next on. Pat said it "crossed the line, and wouldn't happen again." |

The choice in ideology has never, ever in the history of this country, been clearer. Mr. O'Donnell (and I am being charitable calling him "Mr.") clearly displayed the lunacy of the Left.
When you put this sad, pathetic performance next to Al "HE PLAYED ON OUR FEARS" Gore and Howard "The Scream" Dean, an accurate portrait of the departure of the Left from any semblance of rational thought is painted.
I have this on my website at:

Feel free to take a look. It is sad, but informative. _________________ Military Brat, USN Aviation Machinist Mate 2nd Class 1975-1979 |

Wow - I just caught about 3 minutes at the end of the show with Buchanan on tonight and he made quite a statement about O'Donnell being rude and disrespectful and not contributing to the discussion, etc -- and O'Donnell AGREES -- and Pat said it will never happen again.
Did anyone else catch this? I don't think I heard the full stmt, but it was really something! Do ya think they read our emails?? Now, they need to get John back on!! |

Something unbelievable just went down on MSNBC's Scarborough Country. Lawrence O'Donnell screamed at John O'Neill for two segments as substitute host Pat Buchanan hopelessly tried to moderate. O'Donnell interrupted O'Neill every few seconds, repeatedly called the Vietnam veteran a "liar" and a "creep," and sneered, scowled, and shouted at the top of his lungs about how O'Neill did nothing to stop the war.
O'Neill was his usual calm, dignified self--trying civilly to inject facts into the hate-filled O'Donnell's tirades. I swear O'Donnell acted like he was on something. He looked and sounded absolutely crazed. The scene was eerily reminiscent of this.
By the way, I spoke with a former MSNBC employee recently who noted that Chris Matthews STILL hasn't read Unfit for Command and has no plans to do so. O'Donnell cited the hate-filled New York Times book review of O'Neill's book during his harangue tonight. How much you wanna bet he has never actually read the book either?
I'm paraphrasing here, but John O'Neill noted that O'Donnell demonstrated the choice we face on Nov. 2--Kerry-supporting screamers like O'Donnell or an administration that can deal with the threats we face rationally.
I wonder if MSNBC will have the guts to put up an unedited transcript. Stay tuned. And if anybody has video of the show that I can link to, let me know.
More on O'Donnell's recent rantings against "simpleminded" people of faith at David M and Betsy's Page.

While Pat admitted that O'Donnell was out of bound (and O'Donnell agrees) it wasn't an actual apology.
Pat should have said that they were going to have O'Neill back on before the end of the week for a one-on-one with himself, sans O'Donnell. |
O'Neil discussing ads!
I just saw the end of Scarborough Country with Pat B tonight. He said that the discourse from O'Donnell went "over the line" and management said that it would never happen on that program again. He said that management had talked with O'Donnell who had agreed. I didn't hear that he would never be back on the program but if I ever see him on anything again, I'll turn it off. What a despicable person!
John O'Neill has to be one of the most secure, focused people I've ever seen. I really respect him greatly==even though he said that if the
Dems had nominated John Edwards, he would have voted for him. Guess the lawyers stay together, but ... since they didn't choose the Breck Girl and Unfit for Command is helping to elect my wonderful president, I don't mind his preference!! |

NOT GOOD ENOUGH
Quote: | Dear Mr. Buchanan:
That apology does not get it. You only apologized to the viewers. You did not apologize to Mr. O'Neill or to the thousands of vietnam veterans for whom he speaks.
I demand that you extend your apology to these parties. Further, I demand that you FIRE Lawrence O'Donnell at once and make that announcement on television tomorrow night. I am in the process or organizing a nation wide boycott of the entire MSNBC network that I intend to post through all of the blog sites on the internet if these terms are not met completely. |

My letter...start writing yours
-------------------------------------------------
Joe,
I wrote the show on Friday to express my compleete displeasure with Lawrence O'Donnell. I'm gratified to see that MSNBC fathoms the depths to which curteous political discourse has descended. Unfortunately the apology coming from Pat Buchanan for a curiously and conveniently mute O'Donnell falls pitefully short of a cure for the insanity which was on public display this past Friday. Is O'Donnell such a lowly creature that he couldn't bring himself to apologize for himself? Is he such a coward that he needed to hide behind Pat and have Pat do the public mia culpa speech? Pat should have refused to clean up the mess that was dumped on the American public by O'Donnell.
Lastly...I did not hear an apology to Mr. John O'Neill. Your station has become a stooge for the DNC. O'Donnell is your puppet master, you should refer to him as "MSNBC Senior Political Analyst and Head Puppet Master". He has deprived the American electorate from hearing and learning the truth from an intelligent, articulate and patriotic American.
Sincerely, _________________ kerry returned to the United States on July 22, 1971, held a press conference publicly calling on President Nixon... for the surrender of the United States to North Vietnam. |

ABSOLUTELY NOT GOOD ENOUGH!
I'm a strong supporter of Buchanan and I can't believe he stooped so low as to issue that non-apology.
I'm firing off e-mails to him and MSNBC as well as cancelling MSN as my ISP.

Joe was right, Lawrence O'Donnell pissed all over Pat Friday but he left out the viewers and John O'Neil got a golden shower as well.
The management at MSNBC are weasels!
They should have either had O'Donnell on to apologize to the viewers and John O'Neil or fire him.
It is despicable for them to let Pat do O'Donnell's dirty work without any accountability.
Wanna bet O'Donnell is back without any apology? |
