For those who don't know, Cleveland is a Liberal stronghold in the state of ohio with very left leaning black leaders frequenting there. Dennis Kucinish is from Cleveland and was mayor at one time. They were expected to endorse John Kerry. But they stopped the presses and didn't endorse him on schedule. Today they have declined to endorse either candidate. Looks like the Editorial staff and the publisher are at odds [rumored here]. But they say they do not want to further divide the people.

In part is says. "In a year of deep political divisions, this newspaper's opinion section is experienc ing deep divisions of its own.
After nearly four years spent watching George W. Bush as president, and after a year of watching Sen. John Kerry campaign to oust him, we have decided not to add one more potentially polarizing voice to a poisoned debate. We make no endorsement for president this year. " |

In very liberal Cleveland and Cuyahoga County, this has to be seen as a plus for Bush and a big disappointment for Kedwards! |

After all they've for Dennis Kucinich, they owe the rest of the country BIG. How that lefty loon stayes around is a puzzler. Maybe Kerry is too far right for them. _________________ 8th Army Korea 68-69 |

The Columbus Dispatch and the Cincinnati Enquirer are pretty big papers also. In fact the Columbus Dispatch may rival the Cleveland paper and they endorsed Bush. I put the papers of endorsement on another thread. |
