What does Kerry plan now?
In the debates, President Bush said that John
Kerry had written only five bills that became law.
Senator Kerry said that 56 laws he had written (or
co-written) had passed.
President Bush was apparently wrong - there seem
to be eleven that became law. Mr. Bush should
correct the record.
In fact, if there were 56 that passed in the
Senate, only 11 of them were actually passed by
both houses of Congress and signed by a President.
Here are the eleven:
A concurrent resolution expressing solidarity with
the Sakharov family
From www.google.com
... Dissident Soviet physicist Andrei D. Sakharov, father of the Soviet hydrogen bomb, breaks into a grin after hearing that he was awarded the 1975 Nobel Peace ...
A joint resolution designating a week in Oct 1989
as "World Population Awareness week"
Another joint resolution designating week in Oct
1999 as "World Population Awareness week"
A joint resolution designating Nov 13, 1992 as
"Vietnam Veterans Memorial 10th Anniversary Day"
A Joint resolution designating September 18, 1192
as "National POW/MIA recognition day"
A bill to authorize appropriations to carry out
the National Sea Grant College Program Act
A bill to re-designate a federal Building as the
"Frederick C. Murphy Federal Center"
A bill to authorize appropriations for the Marine
Mammal Protection act
A bill to amend the Small Business Act with
respect to the Women's business center program
A bill to reauthorize the Small Business
Technology Transfer program
A bill to award a congressional gold medal to
Jackie Robinson.
This is Senator Kerry’s total record of achievement in his 20 years in the U.S. Senate. It shows what can be achieved when you focus on your
Plan (and Senator Kerry says he has many Plans). _________________ I have a great distrust of John Kerry and
want him to answer the Swift Boat Vets for
Truth's challenge to his statements appearing
in his books and speeches. Vote for Bush/Cheney '04. Korean War vet. |

Yep, good post.
I also highlighted (on a recent blog entry) some of Kerry's choice quotes from the floor of the US Senate. They are amazing in that they demonstrate a consistent failure to understand the world... and a consistent record of making the wrong choices on matters of national security, war and peace, communism and democracy...

Another list that would no doubt be just as revealing would be Kerry sponsored bills/ammendments that were overwhelmingly (and thankfully) defeated. |
