Thought I'd open this thread because we're now five days
out and the extended weather forecasts in a lot of swing states
look gloomy,ie, rain/snow, etc for Tuesday. That may very well
be a lucky situation and great news for us:
we'll go to the polls regardless; I'd bet the other side won't. _________________

My area calls for 'Isolated Thunderstorms/Wind' for the day. Wind will come from the mouth of a dem. poll watcher who approaches me challenging the validity of a vote by someone who is in my Registered Voter book, has picture ID, and properly filled out and signed an Application for Ballot. T-Storm will be my erruption as I call the City Clerk to have the idiot taken out of the building! Really expect clear sailing (not surfing) as we encountered very few problems at our precinct in years past. If I can drag these bones out of bed the next day and crawl over to the computer, I'll let all of you know how the day went. Maybe I should just pull my computer next to my bed when I get ready to turn in, which will probably be early in the morning. _________________ No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.

The Phila area is forecasting wet weather also. Historically, most minorities in Phila. don't vote when the weather is bad. Need I say more? |

The GOP GOTV is running strong with emotionally committed volunteers -- 6million to 14 million volunteers (true believers) (folks that is at least 10% to 15% of the expected voters -- than means that one person needs to get another 9 to the polls and its a crushing Kerry defeat).
On the other hand the DNC GOTV is a signficiant amount of paid employees -- their motivation is $$$$ --- they get paid regardless of how hard they work --- or young people who don't know what sacrifice is about --- rain would make that couch or bed see much more inviting on election day... especially when they will be down in the polls on election day.
Anyone who can volunteer for these last few days -- even if you print out your own flyers (many anti-kerry web sites have downloads) hand them out ----
Think of those wonderful men and women in uniform (and the civilians too) fighting this WOT ---and do what you can. |
