The whole idea with a story like this is that it is easy to propagate the initial charges, but due to the structure of the military and government, it takes time to gather and declassify the appropriate information that can refute the charges.
The Kerry team and CBS/NY Times gambled that the Bush team and Pentagon wouldn't have enough time to counter the charge. And if Bush lost the election because of this story and the charges were wrong, then "oops"! |

That's probably why CBS was set to drop the story on Sunday before the election. No time to respond. Now Bush is campagining in Ohio with Arnold and the Kerry camp has to spend the day on the defensive. We must exploit the enemies vulnerability. |

Watch this. Now Kerry will accuse president Bush of knowing all along that the explosives had been moved but didn't let the American people know out of shear political motives i.e.: letting him, Kerry, make a fool of himself.
Inexcusable isn't it? _________________ "It is not a smear, if you please, if you point out the record of your opponent."

I don't know how they can call this guy a liar. I can't understand a thing he is saying , but nobody could make this up off the top of their head, either. |

To them he is a hostile witness. They want to destroy him in some way. Well, they've got the weekend to make things up about him. _________________ "It is not a smear, if you please, if you point out the record of your opponent."

I think Major Pearson didnt an excellent job, couldnt have been better. The Pentagon Spokesman though....I think he hurt efforts more than he helped. If Major Pearson would have been able to do all the talking, it would have been much more clear and concise. All the other guy did was muddy the waters and EMPHASIZED "we dont really know much". Pearson is quite a man. The other guy, for being the spokesman, could have presented the material a bit better if you ask me! And the press...they were like a bunch of rabbid dogs, not even letting the men finish their answers. Am I the only one who thinks this???

Well, I just watched that press conference. Man, the moonbat press is something else. These people have absolutley no clue about anything. They were trying their hardest to find out if anything wasn't accounted for. If they could find a brick of fire crackers, they'd charge malfeasance. Just once I wish one of these soldiers could stand there and tell them that we have the best troops in the world who don't appreciate being trashed by politicians with self serving interests. You won't see a single report that mentions that the 101st was in complete control of the area before the ordinace specialists showed up to remove explosives. They will focus only on the fact that the major couldn't tell them down to the ounce what each type of explosive he removed was. Like he's supposed to be more worried about what it is than getting rid of it. Unbelieveable.

Kerry will just wait until the OIM spins it, then he will just repeat that, then the OIM will just repeat that.
So let's see...
The NYSlimes releases a bogus election eve story that 1/1000th of the explosives ***may*** have gotten into the hands of terrorists.
Now the sane people of America have to prove this ***theory*** is the ******** that it is.
The battle is not against Kerry; it's against the OIM. Imagine if they looked into the Swifties evidence with 1/1000th of the scrutiny and passion. |
