CHENEY TO HAWAII [10/29 09:46 AM]
http://www.nationalreview.com/kerry/kerryspot.asp
Vice President Dick Cheney will campaign in Hawaii on Sunday, making a rare stop on historically Democratic turf where the presidential race is unexpectedly close, a spokeswoman announced Thursday.
"We are competitive in the state; this is a very close race," Anne Womack said...
Cheney will fly to Hawaii for a rally Sunday night...
Kerry also was sending his daughter, Alexandra, to the island paradise for a get-out-the-vote rally on Saturday.
Of course, this article also has plenty on the FBI investigation of Halliburton, as if Cheney himself is going to get a visit from Mulder and Scully (sorry for the 90s reference, couldn't think of a more recent pop-culture FBI agent). Hey, bring in the FBI. Let's get to the bottom of the Halliburton stuff. It's just mildly curious that this investigation is announced five days before the Election. Who's running this investigation, Lawrence Walsh? |

I thought I heard Laura Ingraham say this morning that the silky pony Edwards was going over. Is it too late to volunteer for the 72 hour program and volunteer to go help in Hawaii? |

e-mail from my cousin in Honolulu:
Not going to see Chaney. Uhh... Gotta stay home and change the water in the fish pond.. The media expects 10,000 repubicans to show up. If you've ever been to the convention hall, here's some advice: No mo' parking.
Al Gore is here already. Appearing at Farrington High School tonight. Things are heating up in Hawaii - lots of political commercials all of a sudden. You mainland folks might have to stay up late to find out who won. (Bush might have an advantage here since the polls are controlled by a republican lt. gov.)
I have my fingers crossed. It would be cool if Hawaii turned Red. _________________ 1st Cavalry (airmobile)
