My mom just called to tell me about this story. Evidently, on 11:00pm news tonight they are going to show the video of these people leaving the prison with boxes of absentee ballots.

Lawmaker Threatens Political Lawsuit

Oct 29, 2004 6:38 pm US/Eastern

PHILADELPHIA (KYW) An area lawmaker has threatened to file a lawsuit that could affect who gets to vote.

CBS 3’s Valerie Levesque reports Congressman Curt Weldon will file a federal lawsuit in regards to allegations of voter fraud at the Curran-Fromhold Prison in Northeast Philadelphia.

He claims that college students have been handing out and collecting absentee ballots at the facility for weeks.

In Pennsylvania, state law makes it illegal for a third party to distribute or collect the ballots. Weldon apparently caught the students with a ballot in their hands when they were leaving the prison.

Levesque reports that only CBS 3 was there as the Congressman confronted the students and the Commissioner of the prison.

Weldon told Levesque that he believes the move was politically motivated in order to sway votes.

An investigation into the alleged incident is underway.

Just how much more are the good people of PA going to stand for? Mad

Not much, Curt Weldon is my Rep and he is hot on this. Senator Santorum is on it too. Fast Eddy Rendell the former Mayor of Phila and now Mayor and Part time Gov of PA is behind this and he is getting nailed for it. He thinks he can get the vote fraud the same old way. Well, people are really getting torked. Kerry is in trouble and even the dead vote in Phila may not be enough. Fast Eddy and his hacks are in a state of panic. Slick Willy was in town and Kerry tried to make something of it. It was tepid. St. Hillary bombed on Wed. as well. Kerry's pal Teddy was in Wilkes Barre to no effect.
