2amendsis:
What about the people who aren't in this forum, if they need assistance with flight info or whatever? Are you going to help them too? (You might end up with TOO much, though!) _________________ Beth

One more question before I crash...
How do you want people who aren't members of this forum let Navy Chief or you (2amendsis) know if they're planning on attending?
I left it kinda vague on my blog...said to confirm HERE, but they won't be able to if they don't have a login... _________________ Beth

We need ONE central contact point to direct people to. An e-mail address or phone number. We need to be able to post something like.....
Join the rally....whatever whatever.....
DATE:
TIME:
Please RSVP.............
AND, if we send this information out everywhere, we have to be committed to doing it because there will be no way to contact all those people to cancel it.........a lot we probably will not even be aware of......
Also so we are not duplicating effort it may be good to generate a thread where we can go and post groups and organizations that we have contacted, method of contact etc..... |

IDEA...........how about if we setup a specific e-mail just for this, which several of us have access to so we can share the job of communications in that realm?? Maybe a yahoo or hotmail one or if someone wants to volunteer theirs.... |

Why the Capitol?
Why not the Viet Nam Memorial?
appropriate and avoids the marathoners. |

I know Chief will look at all ideas. Squid, good idea we'll have to see
Getting the people is the first step and we did, lol, get the word later than expected. Doing our best to firm up and organize. It's coming together.
Could I ask you guys to repost your posts on the original thread and leave this one for the "sign up"? It would keep it simple and easier for us to check. THANX. just trying to simplify because we're all going blind & crazy about now.
Will check on the Vet List. Hmmmm like it _________________ PROUD wife of Army ASA Vet - 66-70

When you say "Naval Archives," please explain and give an address! I'm not aware of anything other than the National Archives in that area
Count two more! |

A couple of questions. Has anyone contacted Protest Warrior? They should be able to get lots of people there in short notice. They also have great info on how to make signs. Kinko's can take a logo offa disk and make it huge. I think it costs around 12.00 but can be seen from a long distance. Worth the money. Also, maybe it has already been done, but freerepublic.com needs to be kept updated. They could be a big help.
Would someone pm info on where Navy Chief and others will be staying. I would love to call and put some or all of their room charges on my credit card.
I would give anything to be there. Can't afford to fly my whole family and my husband would not think to kindly to being left to dress the little ones for Halloween. I will get in contact with some friends I have in the area. I think they may be out of town, but I will try. Good Luck! Please let me know if there is anything I can do from the Houston area. |
