Another thought here, maybe not a popular one, either.

While the possibility of a dishonorable or other less than honorable discharge is important amongst us, could it easily be spun to the general public to say it was just the right wing Nixon Administrations effort to silence Kerry about his knowledge of the war?

Does the general public even care about military discharges anymore? Don't forget, they had no problem electing an admitted draft dodger, not just once, but twice. He is still revered by a large segment of the population too.

Now, we have documentary evidence that he met with and very likely collaborated with our enemy at the time, while still serving. Personally, I feel acts of treason, especially since we are currently engaged in another war, will resonate more with the general public than a thirty year old discharge. He's said he will fight the terrorists just like he fought the VC. He didn't fight them, he joined them! Will he also join the terrorists if elected?

Let's not start feeling let down, rejected or disappointed here. Let's use what seems to have the sharpest teeth and save our country.

He would not be afraid to use the info

I'm not so sure. Not that Karl Rove is "afraid" of anything but LOSING. But that doesn't mean he'd use the info, if he felt there was a risk of backlash. If he was confident he could win without it he might choose to.

In any case, NavyChief, you did your best, and you are to be commended.

I don't think Instpundit has this story highlighted. Can we make some noise with him? He's the #1 blog that does not support Kerry.

He's at pundit@instapundit.com. He gets over 200,000 reads a day!!

Also, Powerline is a top ten weblog. I don't think they have covered the story...as far as I can recall. They are at powerlinefeedback@gmail.com

It's upsetting for everyone...I can only imagine how Chief must feel, but I'm trusting him and going to be as patient as I can, don't really know him but trusting him implicitly.

So after all this, just one thing....what does 'stand down' mean Very Happy

Seriously, I'm not military and have no real idea other than the obvious.

As I was reading all the posts here my feelings were that of
greatfulness to NavyChief and all the Swift Boat Veterans that
have worked so hard to expose nothing more than the truth to
the American people. I have watched everyone here come together
in a split second to achive a goal. And as I was reading these posts a
song came on the radio that pretty much said it all. To Navy Chief and
