He called them "patriots" to lure the weasel into showing up. Which by the way he didnt, he didnt show up on other shows with "PRE" approved answeres. Grab your board and go surfin! see if you can find a show that has guests saying "kerry met with the enemy during Viet Nam". Good Luck!

I think Laura Ingrahm, the ONE day she hosted Scarborough Country mentioned Kerry meeting with the enemy once or twice, which makes it more times than O'Reilly did. Heck, MSNBC has mentioned it more than FOX. Buchanon has had the SwiftVets and POW's on more than anybody except Hannity, and if you include "Hardball" to MSNBC (although Matthews is a sissy) even Matthews had several interviews with the SwiftVets and treated the POW's with total respect.

Seems like to me at least, O'Reilly recently has been straddling the fence and taking both sides of nearly ALL issues (even when clearly one side has an advantage), and only taking a stand for what is right and what is wrong when it comes to the UN Oil For Food (I respect him for that), calling Kerry out for not interviewing with him (The "Almost Kerry" interviews were terrific), and for complaining about entertainers & wealthy businessmen trying to inject their political opinion. While, these issues I feel he has hit strong on, he truly did disrespect the SwiftVets by judging WAY too soon without knowing the facts. Then, the part that ticks me off, is the fact that he acted like he was so much better than all other journalists later and said (paraphrased)"we have done extensive research on this before jumping to conclusions". BS. He bad mouthed them, then let people go on saying they were "discredited" for weeks without providing facts, and then about a month+ after he first commented (after many hostile e-mails asking if he had read the book) he decided to do his own "independent" investigation that was fairly decent, one of the better actually, but still lacking quite a bit of the facts. But overall was fair to John O'Neill. O'Reilly first slammed the Vets, then tried to make up for it because he was catching so much crap for it, provided a decent interview with O'Neill, then continues to slam 527's including the SwiftVets, allows talking heads say untruths about Vietnam that he himself concluded differently in his independent research, allows people to call the SwiftVets "discredited" or all "lies" (except for instance I recall where he said the SwiftVets had some truth, but some that was not), treated the POW's very cautiously, and then has let them (SwiftVets & POW's) fall off the face of earth except an occassional comment when talking about 527's and the SwiftVet attack. I just rambled on and on here, but I too used to be a big fan of O'Reilly. Now, I will watch his show occasionally, but will not go out of my way to see it again, I think he's interested in himself too much, and trying to play too soft (not being himself) because supposedly the "left" is after him to be be fair and balanced.

Oh yeah, I cant stand Eminem either, and I was a Freshman in college when his songs first came out, so I know what he is "all about" and its not good!

Not only did BOR demean and denigrate the swiftees, he and the others at Fox News treat Douglas Brinkley with great respect and kid gloves. Brinkley is the ultimate con man, who used his book Tour of Duty, to elevate Kerry into a genuine war hero while doing a non-stop vitriolic attack on Adm. Hoffman and John O`Neill.

Brinkley? a con man? He's not that smart

Let me see. He's the 'Stephen E Ambrose Chair' (who fortunately died before his serial plagerism caught up with him) that is he's grabbed a dubious coat tail.

Now grabs another coat tail, Kerry's to publish timely vacuity.

Avowedly hates career military and draws a pay check from the Eisenhower Library.

But, to hear him, his biggest beef is that "unFit" outsells "Tour" 10 to 1.

Sorry sack of sh*t's what that is.

I used to be an O'Reilly watcher also. He says he is interested in both sides, however he always limits what doesn't support his side. He is not fair and balanced. He brings in 2 sides and then takes over supporting one of them, usually A Kerryite. Last night he made a comment that Congress must do something to stop the 527's. He has joined the mainstram media in a call to stop our free speech and only get what they sanitize for us. I see nothing wrong with the 527's, but congress does need to do something about truth in media.
When he claimed he was 'investigating' the swifty story, I think he was actually involved in his own legal problems, and never really did anything except parrot the MSM.
Now he says that all litigation has stopped and he will say nothing more.
Litigation does not just 'stop', unless there is a settlement. There were many lawyers involved and they just do not stop anything, unless it is payday. She has little compared to O'Reilly and it is safe to assume he paid her off.

Anyone who supports the Swifties and still watches BOR is like supporting the swifties and voting for Kerry.

BOR is a dog, a bad man. He has NO morals, NO ethics and most of all his main goal in life is to become part of the MSM. As long as we watch his show we are also part of the problem.

Reject his lies and turn off the TV for that hour.

I did not see all of the entire O'Reilly show regarding Eminem, but his interaction with Kevin Powell (author), O'Reilly did not seem to be promoting the beliefs of Eminem, but rather poking fun at them. Mr. Powell actually was respectful and stated his case for Eminem well, no matter what you think of the radical Eminem.

While I'm no rabid O'Reilly (or Eminem) fan, he does seem to have shifted since the sexual harrasment charge. He has made some fairly strong challenges toward the Kerry campaign.

Just does not make sense to throw out the proverbial baby with the bathwater.

I support the Swift Vets, voted for Bush, and watch O'Reilly. What does that make me?

Actually, whenever I do get to watch the TV in the basement family room (between Sponge Bob and video games) it's typically set to Fox News so I "watch" (or listen while I'm surfing) all of their programming.

Does anyone doubt that Hannity gets the bulk of the time on Hannity & Combs, and that maybe Combs is more a Republican than a Democrat, but argues for and with the Democrats just to keep the show alive?

If they really wanted to set some pants on fire, make it Hannity and Carville.

My point is I watch any and all types of news and opinon shows, I read a variety of books and newspapers, from the left and the right, and I surf websites that are pro-Kerry and pro-Bush.

I'm trying to be as informed as I can be, and am trying to understand how our country could be so divided, right down the middle, and how everyone's positions and opinions can be so set in stone. The way it's going, there just doesn't seem to be any middle ground, or room for movement either way.

Honestly, 50% of the electorate believes their candidate is the "best", while the other 50% of the electorate believes their candidate is "best". In all honesty, both candidates have good points and bad points, but I can't comprehend how so many people are disregarding the avalance of incriminating material covering Kerry, yet are so prone to "blame" our President for doing what he thinks is right to protect our county and its people.

This election really has been eye-opening, in terms of what our country stands for, what a free and open press means, and how much the right of free specch means to our union.

God Bless America.

Hannity and Carville? I love Hannity, but not enough to watch him if Carville were his partner. Colmes is bad enough. I have to look away and turn the sound off when Colmes is on. Ugh! He looks like he's sick.

That's my point. Holmes is so boring I doze off when it's his turn. Make it Carville and give them both pugil sticks.

Prior to BOR's giving the SwiftBoat Vets the shaft, I don't think he had a stauncher, more ardent supporter than me. That changed during the interminable length of time it took him to 'investigate' the claims in UFC--and then to say some of the facts were incorrect, but never mentioned which facts!

My viewing habits have changed since then. In my area COPS is shown on Court TV at the same time as BOR. Never watched that program when it was running, so you can see what I prefer to BOR. During commercials on COPS, I'll flip to FOX to see if he's interviewing anyone of interest (such as Dick Morris--gotta love that guy!). BTW, don't waste money by subscribing to his 'Premium Membership.' Someone once posted the email address to that portion of his website. Whenever I've sent an email using it, I get an automated response which starts: 'Dear Premium Member Subscriber'....... The email address is: askbill@billoreilly.com. Save your money!

I listen and enjoy left wing radio. Here's the difference with BOR.

He is fundamentally dishonest and makes his MONEY off our backs. Its the "right" that makes Bill a millionaire and then he at EVERY turn he stabs us in the back.

His bogus routine is such a show. He just is not in any way shape or form geniune.
