Okay, so I don't have many, an arcom gcm & campaigns - but they're mine, they're honest, and I didn't write up my own papers.
I think it would be most impresive if each of us were to wear his medals to the polling place. It will catch te attention of other people, and also of the assored reporters and exit-pollers on scene. And if anybody asks, you can give a plug for the Swiftees.
And if any of the DNC goons try to harass you or suppress your vote - think of the visuals that would ensue - a bunch of hulking goons trying vainly to intimidate a brave little old man wearing his medals.
We just might give someone second thoughts while they're standing in line.
And it will certainly be a bit of "street theater" good for the coming post-election campaigns.

I wore my cruz jacket from the Gulf complete with a F14 racing up the buttocks of a camel jockey on a camel running for their life, Flags of all countries on one arm and US flag and colorado stae flag on other, lastley a USS CONOLLY DD-979 on shoulder  |

I am well known in this area. This past friday I got on a local radio talk show and informed listeners how to get on the web and see Stolen Honor and view Swift Vets. I received a lot of positive response. I received several phone calls from Vets and they are going to join me to voting districts in wearing our metals. I will call in Monday and remind them and try to encourage a big turn out. I am a past VFW Post commander and I call the local Posts and American Legions. Jack. Cam Ranh Bay 68-69 NSF. I am a charter member of Swift Boat Sailors Assn. (If they haven't kicked me out---I don't believe I paid my past dues.)

I, along with my wife, voted on Saturday (last day for early vote in NM). We both wore our full size medals. We got a few strange looks, but we got a lot more smiles, nods and THANK YOU's. It was GREAT!!! We will never vote again without wearing our medals. Oh yeah, we came rolling into the polling place on our Harleys !!
We were in Santa Fe yesterday, stopped by the Republican campaign headquarters to pick up some bumperstickers. They were pretty much out of them. I asked for "Vets for Bush" stickers and they said they couldn't keep them in stock - they were flying out the door!!!!! That says a lot - especially in the socialist hotbed of Santa Fe !!!
KEEP THE FAITH and GET OUT THERE AND VOTE!!!!!!!!!

My jacket is all set up. Forwarded this to every vet I know. Even let the couple Kerry supporters I know about it. Didn't tell them it was also a visual protest against Kerry, showing we kept ours

| I hope this will begin a tradition for years to come. Think about it, THIS is the time to wear those medals to remind us what sacrifices have been made for us to have Election Day and the responsibility we have to take this seriously and to make our vote an informed one! Thank you for thinking of this idea! |

I wore mine today to vote; I will for every election in the future, too.
Funny story: I got lots of stares at the precinct, but no comments, except one. As I was signing in to vote, an elderly lady poll worker came around the table and stared at my chest. "Seen a lot of action," she says. "A little," I says. "I can see that," she says. End of conversation.
I think it is a great thing to do. If you haven't voted yet today, and you have medals, please wear them and show that we're proud of our service to our country. |

Heading into my polling place I met coming out an old guy - well not really any older than me  
Anyway, He was wearing his USS Reagan ball cap. We greeted each other and carried on.
While driving home, I got a beep and a wave from someone in anothr car (he couldn't see any medals), but he did see my Vietnam Veterans Agaisnt John Kerry bumper sticker. We both were headed for the local Barnes and Noble, so when we got there I gave him a sticker for his bumper. He 11B from 1/101 AMD, 1966-67. And a son currently with the 10 SFG currently doing a tour. Good men.

Was a polling judge at my local district and wore a ball-cap with ESWS and ribbons.
I got nods and a twinkle from a few and big smiles from older Viet Namese.
Mostly, I was disgusted with the countless and clueless, tatooed slobs decorated with retail versions of vet this, 'Nam that. They never knew what they were looking at, couldn't give straight answers on unit and were vague on where they were stationed. Ripped from the pages of Burkett's "Stolen Valor" these biker wannabes typically were accompanied by their calorically challenged 'Mommas' and left with her driving an aging smoke belcher. In most cases they're documentation was too screwed up for anything but a 'provisional' ballot. |
