Re: Brokaw interviews....
I have looked closely at the transcripts, but haven't listened to the sound bites...time constraints, (plus I was more interested in what was transcripted on the MSNBC site...)
First of all, we have an
October 28 interview blurb, and we have an
October 31 interview blurb. They would appear to be separate interviews! And that was the intent!
The October 31 transcript states "We caught up with Kerry on Thursday...headed from Ohio to ...Wisconsin."
The October 28 transcript states "...brought campaign to Madison, Wisconson... ".... In his appearances Friday.... "When we sat down for a formal interview..."
I will not go into the differences, they are extreme, in the transcripts. You may do your own comparison, I have noted them, but don't have time to post them....
There are enough verbatim quotes to indicate the same interview.
The obvious thing to me, is these were the same interview, edited, redacted, and modified, in order to be presented as 2 separate interviews. There are obvious redactions and omissions between the two.
Besides the one about how Kerry can't figure out how "they've done it."
What a bunch of obvious bias, and spin! One version for when Kerry was in Wisconsin, one version directed at all states!
It is past time to go to war against these media propagandists!
It is time to cancel newspaper subscriptions...for starters... Harder to cancel the tv presence..., and we shouldn't have to. I gotta feeling that if enough newspaper subscripts get cancelled, and we use this site http://www.bugmenot.com/ for the web prescence log in crap... _________________ MSM Lead Nov 3 2004 "Kerry Oval Office Hopes killed by 10,000 Mice..."

I think this is damning because it shows NBC knew that this was so big, that they rewrote the transcript. It exposes another Kerry lie, but everyone's getting numb to that.
This ranks up there with rathergate. Maybe bigger.
Email and post this everywhere! It doesn't have to be political forums. I found out about this site because the Red Sox traded Nomar to the Cubs. I went to a Cubs forum to see what they were saying about the trade. Then I checked out the Off-Topic discussion area and read a post about the Swifties. This was a day or so before they became rock stars . Football forums are hot on Mondays. |

also note, in the NBC interview, they left out Kerry's response re: Dick Gephardt's daughter.
I still see this as one long interview. Some q/a's in NBC were never shown in MSNBC & vice\verse.
The editing appears to have taken place in the NBC version, but who knows without the full transcript to the original interview, not just the version shown on MSNBC _________________ U.S.M.C. - 1969-1971

Please note - what NBC did is more insidiuous than altering a transcript that relatively few people would read. They altered the video tape presentation re-broadcast to a mass audience!
dmackto's first post on this resulted from seeing and hearing both versions on TV and noticing the change. _________________ For The Honor of the Fifty-Eight Thousand.

Ain't it outrageous that the only real news in the entire interview was that Kerry finally admitted, after months of lying about it, that his records have not been released...and NBC chooses to suppress this revelation, leaving us to view just another Kerry propaganda puff piece! Sure would love to hear an attempt to explain that "unbiased" journalistic decision! |

Well, just in case this CNBC video "gets lost", I just ripped a version down to my computer.
