College students---good news so far

My former student, I taught last spring, just returned from his class--a rather large class of at least 300 students. He said when his professor asked who think Bush will win, a great majority of students raised their hand. Asked about Kerry, only a few. A good sign. The common believe is that most college students will vote for Kerry. I disagree.

but did the professor ask the most important question of all

"how many of you voted?"

I teach at a community college and had two classes today in which
voting was mentioned. One student asked me who I voted for and
I said that IMO there was only one person to vote for. When I
hinted that it was W (getting too political in class is discouraged by
the administration), I could tell that most of the students agreed.
In my afternoon class, everyone seemed to be voting for Bush and
several students said that it was their first time voting. They made
a point to register so that they could vote for Bush!

WOW - I took a history of art web course last spring and the prof was already getting political. I opted not to sign up for any classes this fall to avoid listening to bs during classes.
