How many of you all believe that Bush should just declare victory? I mean this was what Kerry was planning to do. I think Bush should declare his victory and forget the provisional ballots, especially if there is a good possibility that those provisional votes have been rigged with Kerry votes on them. |

Yep, he should. There's nothing that says he has to wait for a concession. |

True. The pundits are saying that it would be more "classy" for Bush to wait for Kerry to concede, but in this case...the election is so freakin' obvious, a normal person would think, what else can they do but concede?
But Kedwards are not normal people. So Bush may have to make a "pre-emptive strike" and declare victory. |

Yes, I do think that the president should come out and speak to the nation. What is the reason to wait with 51% of popular vote? _________________ All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident. |

I'm sure whatever Bush decides to do, it will be the classy and right thing - he's a man of grace and character, and I trust his political instincts.
Trying to get the MSM to call the race for Bush or get a concession from Kerry now is like trying to pry the keys to the White House out of Clinton's hands.
I think the MSM knows when THEY call the race for Bush, they're goin' down in flames with Kerry. And Kerry's ego won't let him concede. And none of them are going quietly into that goodnight.
I saw on Fox where 100% of the precincts from Nevada are in, and Bush has won - but they still say it's too close to call.
And, Bush has won Ohio by a larger margin than Kerry has won PA, but they're not calling it for Bush.
Conclusion - they're in shock and denial - or maybe shock and awe - as they all know they're all goin' down!

Bush should wait until one of the four final States is declared. That doesn't stop the RNC from saying what I was just going to say...
Bush will end up with 286 electoral votes, to 242 for Kerry.
Bush ended up with the highest popular vote in history, topping Reagan's record total.
A 3.6 MILLION popular vote difference between Bush and Kerry.
I don't know what a landslide is, but that appears to be a pretty good mandate to me. |

Andy Card came out and said the race has been called for Pres Bush in both Ohio and Nevada. That the secretary of state of Ohio has informed the Bush campaign that President Bush's lead is insurmountable even with "provisional" ballots. Bush has passed 270 no matter what Kerry thinks. Card said the President will give Kerry time to reflect before Bush makes a statement later today. |

Fox did call ohio for the pres, quite early, but they have not called Nv, NM. or IA even though some of them show all precints counted. _________________ "...for the good of believing in life after birth..."
