John, When you joined the US Navy and became a commissioned officer, you took an oath, an oath to protect and defend the United States and the Constitution of the United States against all enemies.

Article 14, Section 3 of the Constitution of the United States declares:

John, Your public record of giving ''aid and comfort'' to the enemy is so public, and so indisputable, that we believe it is a fact, commonly known and not subject to plausible controvertible evidence, of which any Federal Court could, or must, take judicial notice.

John, You should have taken care of a long time ago. You are a traitor to our beloved country, and we will never forget.

Please leave us. Just fade away to the luxuries that are available to you. But, keep busy at something. If you let your mind go idle, thoughts of the men you betrayed might creep in and haunt you to distraction. You might remember the wrenching fear you felt when the Swiftboats were assigned river patrol and you realized you might actually get shot - something not in your game plan.

You might forget the way that fear manifested itself. The frantic search for a way out. Write my own after-action reports! Yes, that's it! Why should I waste my time begging for awards from these commoners who somehow became my commanders.

You might remember the squalid activities of Winter Soldier and Dewey Canyon, activities designed for only one purpose: the promotion of yourself in the political world over the dead bodies of brave men and suffering prisoners of war.

As much as anything, the ghosts of the needlessly dead and the active memories of the survivors who witnessed you have brought you down before you could further demean this great nation through appeasement and surrender.

Please, just go away. Study the concepts of Duty, Honor, and Country. Reflect on what an appreciation of those concepts might have brought you. But, above all - just go away.
