It is difficult to find the words to express my gratitude for the effort you have made to preserve our nation.
It has been difficult for me to accept that so many in this country were willing to vote for John Kerry and in doing so insult both the veterans of previous wars and those presently on active duty. Perhaps the narrowness of the victory here in Ohio best serves to show the importance of your work.
I served as a Navy EOD officer in Danang during 1970. I had considered that part of my life to be a closed book until your band came to the nation's attention. I now realize that I hadn't read the final chapter, one about honor, truth and courage. Thank you for writing it and thank you for sharing it day by day with all of us.
