Douglas Brinkley, Kerry's historian just said on Imus (MSNBC) that he can see Kerry running in '08. Perhaps it is wishful thinking (he also said he spent election night with Max Cleland and the guys from Kerry's boat, which makes him purely partisan), but it probably is not beyond the realm of possibility.

I suggest that we need to keep our eyes and ears open in the coming months, and pay particular attention to Kerry's return to the Senate floor. Since his record was working against him, he may use the next couple of years to build it up and use it to his advantage.

Of course this is speculation, but given Brinkley's knowledge of Kerry, he may be tuned into something the public is not.

No, please do not let this happen. I don't think I can survive another campaign involving this guy. Furthermore, I thought Skerry's loss has opened the door four Hillary's in '08. We all know she will not be Chief justice of the Surpremes within the next four years.

Please do all you can to expose this guy for what he is. You have done an excellent job up to now and I do appreciate it - Thank you.

This may be a way to keep the MSM from looking too deeply into Fraud's past for making them look like fools. They need a horse race with Hillary or nobody will pay attention to her.

I doubt Kerry will run again.

My guess: it's Hillary in 2008, with Bill campaigning for non-stop for a year or two all over the country, but especially in the South.

Still, the ineffectiveness of the mainstream media in swaying people (firing up the base big time, but not persuading as much of the undecided as they needed--persuading them a lot, since a lot of people still tkae the MSM at face value, but not enough, since more and more dont') must be a sobering reminder for her.

Still, speculatively, she's the odds on favorite for the Dem nomination in 2008, and while I'd not vote for her, I think she will make a very formidable candidate.

Unless the dems wake up and find a "mainstream" candidate to run in '08, they're screwed. If we thought kerry was on the lunatic fringe, just wait until you get a load of hillary !!!

She's sided with Bush on some issues to make her seem more mainstream, but don't let that fool anybody. Can anyone imagine the dammage that will be done to this country if the clintons are allowed back in the whitehouse????

I don't know what fantasies Kerry may be harboring about another run, but I doubt very much his party will give a second chance to a proven loser. The only time they did that in my memory was when they nominated Adlai Stevenson to run (and lose) a second time against Eisenhower, and Stevenson had nowhere near the baggage that Kerry has in such abundance.

It will be interesting to see if Terry McAwful survives the post-election Demo scapegoat hunt. He is, however, a Clinton puppet and a HUGE fund-raising machinist. It was also interesting to note in another post that B. Clinton had tried to get Kerry to come out AGAINST the gay marriage initiative which Kerry declined to do.

This seems to indicate that HC will make an early run to the center in order to position herself for '08.

For those of you who have an appetite to get ready for 08, I just want to say a few things.

Get a record of how many meetings Hillary had with the veterans. She always refused to meet with them over the last 4 years to discuss anything.

Get the tape from NPR where she accused President Bush of causing 911.

I also hear she is going to start going to church in Chappiqua, NY to establish her faith values.

Kerry in 08? Not a chance. The Dems eat their losers. For the same reason, Gore will not (despite his wistful fantasies) run again too. My best bet now is the HILDABEAST. I wouldn't count the "loser" out ....

He would lose by a much bigger margin because now in everyones mind he is a "loser"...

Democrats need a fresh face without the leftist ideals. Unfortunately they do not have one. The Clintonistas run the party and Edwards, Kerry, Algore et al are losers. Hillary only has appeal to a limited number of radicals and socialist feminists. Clinton never got 50% of the vote. She would not do near as well.
