Did anyone see what Kofi, the UN leader, said about Fallujah?
"I have in mind not only the risk of increased insurgent violence, but also reports of major military offensives being planned by the multinational force in key localities such as Falluja.
I wish to express to you my particular concern about the safety and protection of civilians. Fighting is likely to take place mostly in densely populated urban areas, with an obvious risk of civilian casualties...
Of course, I understand that there is an imperative need to restore security throughout Iraq. But I equally believe that, ultimately, the problem of insecurity can only be addressed through dialogue and an inclusive political process."
Who does he think we're dealing with - the League of Women Voters? _________________ "We will rally the world to this cause by our efforts, by our courage. We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail." -- President Bush 2001

Kofi is living on borrowed time as UN SG. He is a goner and will have to leave and spend his oil for chow millions he collected. _________________ Retired AF E-8

And yet, he has no problem with France invading the Ivory Coast, unilaterally, "without giving inspectors time?" _________________ Clark County Conservative |

Kofi is a looser and he will not be around much longer. He's on borrowed time. He just proves that he is a hypocrit everytime he opens his mouth or wants to hold the US to a standard he holds no one else to. I think the guy is a fool and I just ignore the ignorance that man speaks...he is nobody imho. |

Yup. It's a case of utter hypocrisy - to imagine that since the US is more powerful and possesses a strong military we are treated under a hypocritical double standard, with duplicity visa vi the rest of the world is just plain wrong. Hey, we shouldn't mind criticism - it comes with the territory. But please just make it fair and consistent with the rest of the world and with UN actions or lack of action there. That's all. I think we know their "real" motives and that is to US bash because they can...the US is a convenient scapegoat for many. Yet we're only a scapegoat to these and they never will be able to deal with their core problems as long as they moan and groan about the US without real evidence or logic. _________________ "We will rally the world to this cause by our efforts, by our courage.
