Here's a blog from a journalist in Falluja. Although he is there for NBC, the blog is personal and not affiliated with NBC. Excellent reporting from the inside. The real deal:

Killing time reading Maxim magazine and the Bible while they "wait patiently to reign down death and destruction on their enemies." How American. God bless our boys. |

Think that is pretty much what will happen from the pictures I have seen. They have been wanting to go in and upgrade the utilities there in Falluja for some time, it just has not been possible because of the scum there. _________________ U.S. Army 1983-1995, 11C1P/11H2P NBTDT |

"...The Marines know they are being hunted. Boxed from the east and the west in a treacherous kill zone by an enemy they can feel -- but can't see. Their superior firepower is checked by the insurgent's knowledge of the city -- their cunning in using blind alleyways and the crooks and crannies of buildings to pick off the Marines..." Doesn't that just make you want to quit your day job and become some sort of mercenary. I really wish I could do something. |

Drop just one MOAB, and then they could go in there and pick up what's left of the terrorists with a spoon. End of problem. |

Two or three MOABs would work better and save our Marines' wounds and lives. That's what sirpower is for and we should use it and fast. |

No, no, no!
Get a big semi loded with big giant hungry hogs and wild boars...and turn them a loose in Falujiah. SuuuuuuuueeEEEEE. pig, pig, pig.
Coat every house you clear out, with some hormel pig grease and pig blood. Use the ham-grenades.etc....to flush them all out.
Drop very hard core porno leaflets. And drop rations of pork products everywhere.
Then get on the mosque loudspeaker system and start the propeganda. The pigs are coming. If they find you, they will eat you. Why not give up now?
Then...get a BIG BBque grill. Get a HUGE meat smokin roast going..and let if waft all up through Falujiah. |

I would take his posts with a grain of salt. While he has excellent photos, he juices up his reporting for reasons unknown too me and I suspect another motive. He blogged while working for CNN and they shut him down. He was captured and released while working for CNN. Various anti-war sites link to him (VCS for one and a German one which had to have his or an agent's permission to print his photos). I feel that he gives far too much information on his and troop location, etc.. Little Green Footballs called him the consummate defeatist: http://www.littlegreenfootballs.com/weblog/?entry=13101 |
