"I used to sometimes feel I was all alone, although in my heart I knew better and understood that all my brothers still have many of those same feelings. It's just good to read it and realize, I was never really alone."
That was and the problem, we felt alone then and for so many, many years after that. It is like now, how do we deal with the emotion, the fact of maybe some type of redemption for us? We were alone during that time and now we are not, we have reunited to finally find each other. Welcome Home Brother and we will not be alone again, We walk in pride now and from this time forward. _________________ Terry Boone PCF 90

To All.
I was ever mindful of Jerry Lewis's theme song at his annual charity drives for MDA, "You'll Never Walk Alone".
Whenever I was feeling down, I could always call another Nam Vet.
It's odd. We never shared war stories. "Been there, done that" was enough to make us ONE.
What I'm reading recently is that too many of us were in the closet.
To those who couldn't come out, "Welcome Home Brother!"
It's time.
It's our time.
Stand tall, Walk proud. We hold IOU's that can NEVER be repaid.
But I ask you, please, have pity on our debtors.
Lord, forgive them for they know not what they do.
(except John Kerry, he KNEW.) _________________ Mike Farrell

I personally want to thank the Swift Vets for allowing me to finally realize that I am not and never will be alone in regards to the effects of the war and the mistreatment and misconceptions heaped upon us upon our return. To those members on this board and the Swifties as a whole, I give my heartfelt THANK YOU one and all. |

I think everyone has summed it up so well. What a beautiful essay. |
