LOL, and what becomes of his records he has refused to make public? Even Edwards realizes that in order for this suit to go forward, his records will have to be released to disprove any claims.

I am trying to IMAGINE the level of media scrutiny this would bring to bear on Kerry's fraud. 1000's of hours of micro-examination of EVERY morsel, 24/7, for at least several months. Laughing

..only the Swifties have the standing to sue all the DNC running dogs that continue to scream 'liars' on national outlets.

Kerry just wants to send the message that he has a legitimate case against O’Neil. Any objective mind that has looked into the details of this case knows that Kerry’s case against O’Neil is illegitimate. If Kerry goes thru with his empty threat he will open himself wide open to counter suits.

A libel lawsuit? John O'Neill is not standing alone, he'd have to sue all the Swifties and the POWs. And how about a counter-suit - CLASS ACTION. It would take years just to determine the damages.... And then, yes, the discovery process - this would be a dream. And the witness lists! Kennedy, Fonda.. all the wintersoldiers that testified.. Camil could brag about the KS meeting.. all the VVAW and their associates (can you imagine America wondering why communists, maoists, etc. are being called in the kerry trial?) ...

I think in "leaking out" this desire of his "to sue" is a way of furthering the idea that he has been wrongly harmed and that he is a victim. Sounds like he's fixating on his "rage" and need for revenge. Laughing

This is really stupid. He must be having sleepless nights.

The media will talk about the threatened lawsuit, all the "lies" against him and concoct a possible suit and argue about grounds for his defense amongst themselves, etc., etc., and people will hear more & more about the role the Swifts played in taking kerry down, then they will want the Swifts to come on the shows and talk about the allegations against them, and we'll just keep on going, deeper and deeper. Unfortunately, this is probably another set-up where we'll hear later that kerry was enraged that his lawyers stopped him and advised him against suing and he will be a victim forever, as he thinks he is in this instance where "his campaign stopped him" from "fighting back" against the Swifts. The poor guy keeps running up against all these constraints to his fighting nature.

I recall that wonderful moment, early on, when someone was arguing with O'Neill and calling him a liar, and John looked directly into the camera, "Sue me." In fact, I think he said it twice!

There is an absolute defense to libel/slander --- TRUTH

The counterclaim of libel/slander by the Swift Vets against Kerry and all his talking heads would be the winner.... and Kerry has $9million in his campaign legal/accounting fund.

I'd donate again to support the legal defense/offense for the Swift Vets.

Added bonus --- at last Form 180 would be signed and all Skerry records released.

When the TRUTH is told a lot of rats, slugs and slime [liberals] would crawl back under their rocks. A lot of voters would feel betrayed by the media.
