Just suppose that the Marines in Fallujah were ordered to treat all wounded "insurgents" as non-combatants. How long would it be before we saw headlines like these;
CASULTIES MOUNT AS TROOPS ORDERED NOT TO PROTECT THEMSELVES
MOTHER BLAMES "UNFEELING MILITARY" FOR SON'S DEATH
Doesn't seem so farfetched does it? _________________ John Kerry. A Neville Chamberlain for our times. |

Not farfetched at all.
We're only 18 days removed from that possibility.
We will not tire, we will not falter, we will not fail.
Freedom and peace will prevail. |

The election where The Loser was defeated was 18 days ago. Made me think also. _________________ Former "War Criminal" |

Yep, that's it.
Talk about being between a rock and a hard place.
18 days removed from that possibility.
16 days from my baby heading to the New 'Nam.
"You think Marines are tough. You oughta see a Marine Mother."
He's packing his room up tomorrow.
Did I tell ya about the send off for my nephew's National Guard Unit last Thursday? 3,000 people showed up. No, that's not a typo. Overflowed the Performing Arts Center auditorium, the art gallery, the media center, and the hallways. Saturday morning, people lined the route out of town for them, for several miles. Where? OHIO.
We will not waiver; we will not tire; we will not falter; and we will not fail.
Peace and freedom will prevail.

Mother,
I understand you prefectly. My only daughter is currently in Basic Training for the Army at Ft Jackson. This is the first time she's been away from home with no family near her. She was concerned before she left about the election - she departed on 2 Nov- and told me "I don't want to go armed with spitballs". She is a bit older than her squad (21) and she called them "drama mamas" for all the whining. One girl is a particularly annoying 18 yr old. She told my daughter that her recruiter lied to her said there was only a little PT... My girl asked if she wanted cheese with all that whine.
I rearranged her room before her plane left the tarmac. Made it my sewing room (her bed is still there tho).

Funny, bringing up re-arranging the bedroom. Know it will need to be done and my girlfriend said the sooner the better. Kind of like ripping off a bandaid instead of slowly peeling it off. Little tears just dropped when I thought about it. Funny thing is, my son brought it up first.
I was so proud. Then he told me he was just packing his clothes under lock and key so his brother and sister couldn't get at 'em, 'cause they already are : )
Guess that explains the alarm system he bought for his car? haha
(Gram was screaming not to enlist until after the election : )
We're going to missing our little maggot. |
