It has been several people's way of communicating here.....calling their beliefs or misconceptions or viewpoints facts and then not backing them up as facts. Fact: John Kerry testified against the veterans of the United States of America, he did give aid and comfort to the enemy of this nation and he has no right to run for the position of Commander in Chief. Opinion: John Kerry is really a self-involved idiot who think of nothing else than his own personal agenda and he will be one of the biggest mistakes this nation has made if they elect him to office.
See? One is indisputable, the other disputable. I can guarantee you can post both here. But if you post opinion as fact, that shows either ignorance or arrogance and you'll be in the spotlight and asked to prove it. Without supporting links or documents, I think it's right to remove your comments, they are neither worthwhile nor helpful to anybody. |
Well said Don, at good model for debate here! _________________ On Sale! Order in lots of 100 now at velero@rcn.com Free for the cost of shipping All profits (if any, especially now) go to Swiftvets. The author of "Sink Kerry Swiftly" ---ASPB |

So you are claiming that President Bush served 38 days beyond his last FITREP and never received a final FITREP. I'm sorry - enlighten me on why this is a noteworthy fact if true. The same rules and regulations also stipulate that drilling reservists are paid, yet I have a shipmate who served a year in the reserves after completing his obligated active duty service but was never paid due to a series of compounded admin errors (hard to believe - isn't it - an admin error in the military).
We all know that George Bush served in the military, but we can only speculate how good an airman he really was. In my opinion, he probably liked strapping on a jet but at the time, didn't yet have enough direction or maturity to plot out his military career with an eye to political viability like some other candidates might have been doing. Fortunately - the young GW Bush matured and later proved as CINC that he has what it takes. Some of the other candiates proved what they are all about as well, and dishonoring your shipmates by accusing them of war crimes is pretty low in my book.
As for leaving flight status - I've had buddies who missed a few night traps in the Indian Ocean which put them in immediate touch with their mortality and led them to the conclusion that maybe they needed to do something else for awhile or forever. Who really knows...I don't think any less of them regardless of their motivation, since at the end of the day, they served honorably.... and that is what counts. _________________
