Ted Sampley appears to be a nut-case activist. Here's something on him (too long to paste in):

Sure thing. Sampley gets about 4,730 (!) hits on Google. The guy sounds like a Michael Moore clone.

I'm not so sure Ted is the nut job McCain and others want to portray him as. He has done a lot to keep the POW/MIA issue advancing. He was very upset with the way that McCain and Kerry dismissed the POW/MIA families and findings (ending forever thier ability to find loved ones). Yes, he's created a lot of enemies, he rides a motorcycle, he was accused of punching a Senator's aid. But he also helped provide security for the Kerry Lied Rally in DC, he shot the bird to Kerry when he went to the Wall... I don't know, I don't think I'd be so quick to judge, I sure would like a man like that on my side if my husband never came home.

I saw some of Ted's stuff a few months ago. I think he has just been pissed off for a long time now. I think he means well.

He didn't shoot the bird to Kerry. Kerry shot the bird to Sampley, when Kerry was at the Vietnam memorial for a political shot. What happened was Sampley introduced himself to Kerry and his secret service escorts and said something to the effect that Kerry had no right to be in the presence of real hero's and Kerry shot the bird to Sampley. Supposedly there were a few school age children present. I believe the full story is on www.wintersoldier.com

There is alot of talk about John Mc Cain and his actions during his imprisonment at the Hanoi Hilton. It is said that in the movie Hanoi Hilton the prisoner depicted as the one recieving special treatment from the N. Vietnamese was none other than John Mc Cain. In my opinion though these stories do not really matter. Bottom line is that all these POWs served honorably. They went through very extreme conditions. Any action by anyone of these men are not between them and the American People. Their actions while in prison in the north are between them and their fellow prisoners and no one else. In the documentary "Stolen Honor" there were a couple of ex pows that admitted that they caved to the torture. These confessions by these heroes did not effect me in any manner what so ever. I still consider each and every one of them heroes that provided extraordinary service to our country.

During the campaign I had the opportunity to attend a rally in Lansing, Michigan with John Mc Cain and Dick Cheney. I have been well aware of all the rumors about John Mc Cain. When I went up to John Mc Cain and shook his hand with this knowledge in the back of my mind what I said to him was, "Senator Mc Cain, Thank You for your service to this country". We should all remember the service of the Vietnam Vets, the POWs and the MIAs. We should truly never forget and never abandon them as Senator Kerry has. The American People will never truly understand the depth of debt they owe these American Heros.
