I was just thinking that - thank you!
It's a pain in the neck to put together a big dinner, but it's hard to find anything to gripe about, today - here I am, safe and sound in my own home with my dear husband and two of my children with me.
Having spent a few holidays away from home and family, or with the DH deployed or on watch, my heart is with those who are far away and their families who miss them and worry about them.
Special prayers of thanks for them all, today. For all that they give up and all that they do, so that we don't have to fight this war right here in our own streets.
No, you are not forgotten, out there - in busy kitchens and noisy gatherings across the country, there are millions who will add you to their list of things to be grateful for.
God bless and keep our military and public service personnel.
