The primary is about analyzing the resumes of the different candidates and putting forward the best candidate you have. The democratic primary was mostly about bashing Bush and very little about getting into the candidates resumes. Perhaps if any one of the nine other candidates during the primaries would have dug up the transcripts from Kerry’s 1971 senate testimony the Democratic Party would have put forward a better candidate. No the democratic party blinded by their hate towards Bush gave Kerry the nomination with very little thought of how it would play with the community of 26,000,000 veterans plus their family & friends. So do not blame the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth for only doing what the Democratic Party failed to do. _________________ Defender of the honor of those in harms way keeping us out of harms way.

In my opinion, the Democratic party also committed another sin, one that they will not easily be forgiven for, and which will make it impossible for them to regain power, as long as they continue to follow along the same path.
That unpardonable sin: The Democratic leadership made the mistake of underestimating the average American, especially those in the middle part of the country, and in the south and southwest. They thought that we would be gullible enough to rally behind a man with only four month service in Vietnam and a handful of medals. They thought we would be stupid enough to believe that those qualifications were enough to convince us he would be a war president.
Well, they thought wrong. The only stupid people in this country were the 58 million who voted for John Kerry.

As you look at the county by county map the Kerry vote came from places that are covered in concrete. I would rather go to war with a country boy who is dumb like a fox then a city boy. And furthermore how would the concrete dwellers eat without the country folk feeding them.

Iowans thought that Kerry was Kerrey.
New Hampshirians enjoyed Kerry's role
in the movie 'apocolypse now'.
Game over. |
