I commanded an EOD detachment near DC during the peace demonstration in 1971 when Kerry made his little speech. We spent three nights on the bridges in DC looking for 600 lbs of C4 that VVAW had in town to blow one of the bridges. We actually found a hoax bomb on Key Bridge. Shortly after that, the US Capitol building had a bomb go off in the bathroom next to the Senate Chamber. Everyone has forgotten about all of that. Kerry's organization, VVAW, was tied up with the SDS, Black Panthers, Weatermen, and SLA just to name a few of the left wing organizations. Go to VVAW and Anti-imperialist on the web and look who they link to. VVAW and VVAW and Anti-imperialist claim they are not the same organization but they have the same goals. Kerry was part of all this along with the likes of Jane Fonda. He should be court martailed for his activities, not elected President of the United States

Welcome US Army EOD,

Thanks for your perspective. I didn't know about that stuff - the bombs, I mean.

And you'll find a lot of agreement here about that last.

Good to have you with us!

I have not forgotten, nor have I forgiven, Jane or John Hanoiboy.
