... the liberal media had no problem assuming, on the basis of no evidence whatsoever, that 250 Swift Boat Vets were lying about John Kerry even though they had no apparent motive to do so. The word of al Qaeda terrorists captured in combat with American troops, on the other hand, it is taken at face value even though the terrorists' pecuniary motive is obvious. This is, of course, not surprising to anyone who has been paying attention.

We could go on and on about this, Bush had to release all his military records and Kerry did not, but the real laffer in all this is that the left thinks the media is biased against them!

What this campaign has made clear to millions is the ineffeciveness of the MSM in meeting its public purpose - creating an informed electorate. Or rather, its effectiveness in sabotaging that purpose, while pretending to meet it.

One by one, that's how it's done. Gone and hopefully forgotten are Dan the Marine, Tom the Twit, Ted the Twerp, Moll Mapes, Terry the Pirate and most importantly, Silky Pony. The remaining list also will come down. Any business must make a profit and these old media guys are beginning to suffer financially for their bias and bald-faced lying. They might even discover there's profit in the truth.
