I just saw on Drudge the cover of a new book by Christine Todd
Whitman, It's My Party, Too. According to Drudge, she says
on page three that the three point victory by GWB is the lowest
reelection percentage of any incumbent president. I guess it is OK
that Bill Clinton did not win 50% of the vote in either 1992 or 1996
because he won reelection by more than three percent.

She feels that the party should become more moderate, forgetting
that, while being socially liberal helps you win the governorship of
New Jersey, it will not help you win many Southern states. She
needs to read Fred Barnes's article that appears elsewhere in this
forum and to remember the vicious onslaught of negative propaganda
that GWB was subjected to by the MSM, the Hollywood crowd, and
Moveon.org. IMO, it is a miracle that he won by as large a percentage
as he did, all things considered. I don't understand some of these
Republicans (McCain and Hagel, included). They are obviously RINOS!

that she pans Bush will only get her a few democrat buyers of her book, not enough to replace the Repubs that will not buy it.
