.
One of the more laughable aspects of Kerry's narcissist
fantasy of being a folk hero is his belief that wearing a
leather aviator's flight jacket will somehow enhance his
image with Swift Boat sailors and other veterans. He has
an innate misconception of timing by using this costume in
very inappropriate weather conditions: sunny and warm
Can you imagine wearing a fur lined jacket on a Swift Boat
in the tropical heat of the Mekong Delta rivers and canals?
......
Swift Boat Reunion - Norfolk - Temperature 75 degrees
......
July 2004 before the DNC - Temperature 85 degrees
......
Recent Baghdad troop visit - Temperature 100+ degrees
What part of "A fool and his toys" doesn't he understand?

I think the quote is, "A fool and his money (or his wife's money as the case may be)". Either way he's a poser. W fits in a flight suit and he had to do something...moreover he needs the fleece lining to puff-up his scrawny torso.
While the officers on my tin can wore leather jackets in NORTH PAC in tropical waters all our desalinization went to boiler feed, not laundry and after a week even the CO justified t-shirts and shorts.
Again, tks for the Austin thing.[/u] |

Squidly be in Phoenix. Anything heavier than one-layer broadcloth is winter wear. What do sailors know about bomber jackets, anyway? LOL Even for a Texan, it looks pretty heavy to me. I wear some things lighter than that in the winter. And in Baghdad, Silky Pony wore a jacket similar to that one but without the fur collar. Any bomber jacket experts available for comment? _________________ '58 Airedale HMR(L)-261 VMO-2 |
