I always thought forced listening to Yoko Ono records could compete with the death penalty.

A lot of the people who are against Torture state that it is because the person will say anything you want to get you to stop, and that real information is really not obtained. I guess they forgot about the service man, maybe a year ago who was called on the carpet (I don't know what happened to him) for shooting a gun off near a terriorists head...it worked. The man let out the info, which turned out to be true, and saved some of our guys who were going to go out on patrol. They were able to catch the ones who were laying for them. Does anyone else remember this? Question

Yes. And I'd bet that when that gun went off, more than mere information came out of that guy... Shocked

Thing is, that is coersion. It's not admissible in a court of law. But the battlefield is hardly a court of law. It is a place where terrible things happen. And sometimes, you have to do things that the more weak-spined may object to, in order to save the lives of your men, or to save the lives of civilians.

Pity that the lib/dem/soc/commies are too concerned over the lives of the terrorists to see that...

Right you are and the bluestate moonbats (BMs) tried to court martial him anyway, in his last few days before retirement. That caused me to write my most passionate letter to all three of my legislators. Seems like the next day, no doubt due to VOTER unhappiness, the charges were dropped, he was no-billed or some such thing. Happily, he lived happily ever after. I for one, want guys like that out in front of me because I'm too old to do it for myself. I don't understand what's so difficult to understand. They want us dead. We have no choice.

You'd think the lib/dem/soc/commies would learn by now that you cannot coddle terrorists. You kill them.

Beats what I'd look like. It's bad enough being fat, bald, and ugly. I'm also just about the whitest guy in America (with the possible exception of Michael Jackson). Last time I went to the pool in my speedos, there were children screaming, women fainting, and some jerk with an eyepatch and a parrot yelling, "Arrr, Cap'n, thar bee th' Whyte Whaaaale!" Next thing I knew, there were harpoons flying and blood in the water...
