This is good news indeed -- though I don't suppose Mr. Jackson will take this action against his "power" without a few choice comments -- I haven't seen his reaction yet....

** NYSE Bans Jesse Jackson, newsmax.com, 1/14/05 **

The New York Stock Exchange refused this week to allow the Rev. Jesse Jackson to hold his annual Wall Street Project fund-raising event on the Exchange floor, and is also rebuffing the one-time civil rights leader's annual demand for $100,000. In years past, business leaders & top government officials came out in droves to support the Jackson event, especially during the Clinton era – with many of them ponying up six-figure sums in the name of "minority business outreach."

In 1998, the debut year of the Project, Secretary of the Treasury Robert Rubin, Securities & Exchange Chairman Arthur Levitt and Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan, along with Donald Trump, showed up to support Jackson's so-called "diversity agenda."

But as Investor's Business Daily noted earlier this week, with Jackson friend Richard Grasso no longer running the Big Board, the Wall Street Project gravy train has chugged to a halt. "Truth is," said IBD, "Jackson's been losing clout and credibility for some time. He's no longer a star, no longer untouchable." Even former Jackson shakedown conquests like Toyota and NASCAR are beginning to distance themselves from the reverend.

"The NYSE cutoff is a dramatic step that puts the individual companies that bankroll Jackson on the spot," noted Peter Flaherty, president of the National Legal and Policy Center, in comments to CNSNews.com. "It is a lot harder for the Verizons and PepsiCos to argue that there's nothing wrong with supporting Jackson's groups."

Has there ever been an investigation into where all his shakedown
money really goes? Is there an audit trail?
He and his family seem to live high on the hog for a guy who has
never held a real job.
Just what kind of salary does he take from his shakedown activities?

I don't know much detail about Jackson, but Kenneth R. Timmerman has a book out about him: “Shakedown: Exposing the Real Jesse Jackson” (Regnery Publ., 3/02). Maybe someone here has read it?

Article by Timmerman at frontpagemag: “Jesse, Liberia and Blood Diamonds,” 7/25/03

And one by David Horowitz: “Racial Shakedowns,” 2/17/00
"....... Budweiser is currently running commercials featuring black racial stereotypes. Ordinarily, this would be a Jackson two-fer. In the old days, Jackson attacked Anheuser-Busch for a lack of minority ownership among its distributors. But today Jesse Jackson's lips are sealed. Possible reason: Two of Jackson's sons were recently given the No. 1 Budweiser distributorship in Chicago, worth $33 million in annual revenues. And they got it, against all competitors, for almost no cash down. Was the favor to the Jackson sons a form of protection money? You think? ...."

BOR has been subjected to 7 IRS audits and openly challenges the IRS to give him another, but alas his yearly request for the IRS to audit Jacksons organizations falls on deaf ears. Although BOR in my opinion lost tons of credibility over his treatment of the SVPT's, he does do some good.

Je$$e Ja˘k$on has been running his extortion racket from the beginning. He is a Crook with flair. Most of what he says about himself is out and out lies. Liberal media and politicians have pandered to this guy for years and he has sucked millions from the taxpayers.

The book is a good read. It will also horrify you that this man has been untouched where others including his half brother are serving long prison sentences. It's who you know how smoothly you run your racket. Je$$e Ja˘k$on is for Je$$e and nobody else.

As a "minority" Jackson claims to represent, let me say this: Evil or Very Mad Jesse Jackson is a poverty pimp and a mafia shake down artist. His "Rainbow Coalition" is a fraud and just what church does this reverned preach at ?

Je$$e Ja˘k$on never completed seminary and was "ordained" under dubious circumstances. He has never had a congregation or been a genuine Rev. He only wanted the title for the recognition. It is all in the book. Rush refers to his organization as the monochrome coalition. It is only one of dozens of fronts this crook has. Again, it is all about Je$$e Ja˘k$on and his own welfare and not much else. By the way, 'Poverty pimp' was a name applied by a black businessman in Buena Vista, GA after they sought to have Je$$e assist them in a local matter.
