Two unconscionable opportunists combined for 2008. Shiver the thought.
Hillary wins the dems. McCain (Did I tell you I was a POW) challenges the Rep primary, loses and jumps Dem. He gives her the 'defense' gravitas she lacks and is remunitively happy grafting as Veep.
I don't like it. I don't like it one bit. |

Their Meet the Press interview where they fawned over each other made me sick. McCain made a deal with the devil during his stay as a captive in North Vietnam. I see it clearly when I look into his eyes. As for political leadership McCain will fail and bring down everyone around him. People are beginning to see McCain for what he is rather then just being awed over his POW status.

McCain is a RINO. You cannot trust in his support. He is more interested in restriction of free political speech and steriods in baseball that real issues. The Libs love him just because he is a big burr under the saddle of the rest of the Republican leadership. His core support group is not what he thinks. In 2000, his primary voters were Democrat cross-overs. Hillary is a loser and with him it would be more so. Barbara Boxer is predictable, Hillary Clonton Rodham has a better chance with a known kook than Capt. McQueeg.
Remember, here is a guy who stuck up for sKerry, panned the Swifties and was MIA when it came to defending our President against false MSM stories. This guy is out for himself and nobody else.

If my memory serves me correctly (something should), the gooks offered to release McPain from Hanoi Hilton because his old man was a big shot military guy. He turned them down, refusing to be placed above the rest of the POW's. This was when other guys were trying to escape and/or dying. He hit his head, no question about it.
I don't need to know anymore about him. Arizona does. |

His father was no big shot. Both his father and Grandfather were US Navy Admirals and noted career men. Both Admiral McCains were a big part of the the war in the Pacific.
"John McCain's grandfather was a gaunt, hawk-faced man known as Slew
by his fellow officers and, affectionately, as Popeye by the sailors
who served under him. McCain Sr. played the horses, drank bourbon
and water, and rolled his own cigarettes with one hand. More
significant, he was one of the navy's greatest commanders, and led
the strongest aircraft carrier force of the Third Fleet in key
battles during World War II."
"Rear Admiral John S. McCain, who, as Commander Aircraft South
Pacific Forces (COMAIRSOPAC), controlled all land-based aircraft in
the South Pacific Area, including those of the US Army Air Forces

He died on September 6, 1945 and was buried in Section 3 (Grave
4356) of Arlington National Cemetery, among other family members,
including his brother, William Alexander McCain, Brigadier General,

The Senator's POW experience definately knocked a few screws loose. Something is definately missing despite a noted lineage and heroic service.
An aside, maybe the USS Jimmuh should have been named for Admiral McCain.
