I just heard that the district court denied Gov. Bush's request to take custody of Terri.
Anyone hear what the next step is??
Appeal??

Guess a Governor (with a sitting President as his brother) doesn't have much power after all. I think it was great of him to make the effort, though. |

GW has the power by Executive Order, but if he did it the MSM and the democrats would run him out of town.
He said las night that all "executive options" remained opened.
This puts GW between a rock and a real hard place. |

I was thinking about that, Tony. The election, war and now this. |

I say "damn the torpedos"!!
Bush (both) will get smeared no matter what they do, so they might as well do the right thing.
"Damn the torpedos!"
I heard on FOX where Cal Thomas is already criticizing "the Feds" for not doing enough.
"Damn the torpedos", and do the right thing!

I say:
Prey to GOD, that he gives OUR PRESIDENT the strength and the wisdom to do what's right.
I'm sure GW is doing some serious soul-searching right about now, and he prays to Jesus a lot more than we know. |

GW is kind of a rock himself. This is an emergency and in times of such martial law can be used, as well as the National Guard. Thank you. That's all. |

All he has to do is issue an "Executive Order" and all law enforcement personell will be at his command.
Judges and other politicians become irrelevent. |

Before the POTUS steps in and issues a Executive Order, I would think it is incumbent on the Governor of Florida do that at a state level _________________ "Si vis pacem, para bellum" |

If I were Bush (GW or Jeb) I'd wait until the close of business on Friday, then order Terri into protective custody (executive order or Florida State Police). The liberals and the judges would have a fit, but wouldn't do anything about it for the entire weekend. By Monday, I'd put plan 'B' in place. I'd have the whole weekend to come up with plan B then. _________________ Swift Boats - Qui Nhon (12/69-4/70), Cat Lo (4/70-5/70), Vung Tau (5/70-12/71) |

Friday may be too late. Do it now. _________________ People sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.

GW can not run again, Jeb says he doesn't want to run for the Presidency. Then they should just do the right thing. Save Terri, period, what ever it takes. Make sure that her constitutional right to life is upheld.
However, if she is murdered (and that is exactly what is happening) can't they state then charge Michael with the crime?
If nothing else, can't the insurance companies that paid the lawsuit sue him for fraud? I understand relatively little money has been spent on "rehabilitation" treatment for Terri, wasn't that what the settlement was to cover? _________________ "The most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the government and I’m here to help." Good point USAFE5. I think they need to charge Michael Schiavo with attempted murder and conspiracy to commit murder and remove him as guardian. His co-conspirator is Judge Greer.
One of the other threads has an excellent article by Ann Coulter about sending in the Guard. I just emailed that info to Gov. Bush at jeb.bush@myflorida.com _________________ DLI 78
