I watched exactly 30 seconds of Kerry's lies. After the salute and "reporting for duty statement", I almost gagged, then started picking lint from underneath my refrigerator!!

I have heard how many he attended. Does anyone know how many total meetings there were vs how many he attended?

Comparisons - you may think its trivial but I place a good bit of credibility in such a small thing:

Take a look at the salutes. That bent finger, big bird flap that Kerry uses vs. the crisp, snappy salute that President Bush uses no matter the setting.

I noticed this with Reagan and Bush Sr vs Clinton as well. Those that truely understand what a salute is and have the respect behind it will predominantly present a salute in the prescribed fashion. Those that try to fake it will present a salute that is sloppy and usually looks like something learned from watching movies.

Yep, it may be considered picking nits but its one thing I use to judge a man. Such a simple thing filled with the heart and soul of what we are - comrades in arms.

The New York Post reported about a month ago that Kerry missed 98 of 112 senate roll call votes this past year alone (one to extend unemployment benefits).

I don't know how many of you know this, but the Marine Guards have a special procedure for Presidents when they get on or off either the helicopters or Air Force One. They first salute the President, and when the President salutes them, as soon as he passes, they immediatly left or right turn in the direction the President went. That is to symbolize that they are awaiting his next order.

When Clinton was President, the Marine Guards never, ever executed that left or right turn after the salute. That symbolized that they had no respect for Clinton as man or President, and were not awaiting his next order.

Start watching whenever President Bush gets on or off the helicopter or plane, and you'll see the Marine Guard do this.

Just a little trivia!

Woof!

Time for a levity break:

When Bill Clinton insisted on full honors of a band, honor guard, and twenty-
one gun (rifle) salute as he departed on Air Force One to upstage Bush's entry
into the White House on inauguration day, there was only one "glitch" ....

Clinton rendered a sloppy hand wave as the Marines rendered the rifle salute.

.. And ALL twenty-one Marines MISSED WHAT THEY WERE AIMING AT!! ..

.

Sorry WarDog, but that is an old story with no credence. Active duty Marines are not allowed to show political feelings. It would be unprofessional. It is an "urban legend", nothing more. But is makes for a great story.
Anything like that about Clinton is good. Do you know what the historians are calling the Clinton era? "Sex between the Bushes"!

I had noticed the same on the cpomparison of hand salutes between the Presidents & wannabe Senator (Veteran) Kerry. I have the same conclusions & am elated to see that someone else noticed & has the same perspective.

It seems Kerry did everything he could to walk away from his fellow servicemembers & their pride & traditions. Now, he shamelessly seeks to cozy up with the public & veterans with this shameful Hollywwod play--- a band of brothers? it just makes me sick & saddened.

Sorry Sgt-Keeper, but go back and look at the times that Clinton got off either Air Force One or the Marine Helicopter. You will see that I am correct in what I said.
