I just cannot get excited over this - If they had signs posted then so be it. Winn-Dixe certainly does not have this lot for free parking of mostly non-customers and protesters. _________________ "Si vis pacem, para bellum" |

I'm afraid I have to agree with you here, RR, although Winn-Dixie's actions seem more than a bit callous. From the example given, that man (who WAS a customer) should have at least had some slack cut by W-D. However, a parking lot IS private property, and is generally meant for paying customers. Since there was a posted sign, W-D was within their legal rights to act as it did. But then, Michael Schiavo was also within his legal rights to act like a total *******.
It's no wonder W-D is in bankruptcy. It's too bad they're not up here where I live, so I could take great pleasure in boycotting the jerks. _________________

They had been parking there for two weeks, they also all shopped there for their water and food while they protested.
They had no warning by anyone about being towed.
No one got towed until they knew it was over and the protesters were all going back home.
It seems like a going away trap to me. |
