I have been posting Vietnam POWs" stories about Kerry from this site on an major agriculture related discussion group in the last week.
The posts have been in general catch all forum like Geedunk.
I have caught a lot of grief from some who claim that I am flogging a dead horse. They also tell me that Kerry is toast for 2008.
However one of the posters there posted a good statement as to why we or I should continue to discuss Kerry's anti-war behavior even after the loss of the 2004 Election. His remarks are in qoutes below:
Quote: | His misdeeds did not automatically vanish when he lost the election. They are still there. |
I wish that had thought of that one myself.
I am grateful that the various Swift Vet and POW statements are available in compiled form. It helps a lot. |

Does any one have any kind of a Memorial Day project planned for Kerry???
I have this feeling that the Media might try to run some sort of brief media thing honoring Kerry and his military service.
I intend to blitz several discussion groups with stuff from this site and others with reminders about his post Vietnam activites.
Anyone got any suggestions and etc.
It is said that it is very easy to spend other people's money, but I was wondering if a commerical or two in various media markets using the Swift Vets previous ads could be a good idea.
Do you think that a new or a set of new followup Swift Vet ads might be a good idea?? Might not be enough time for this year's Memorial Day, but they would be useful for the upcoming years and the 4ty of July.
Any and all suggestions and etc will be appreciated. |

In a somewhat backhand sort of way: An extremely important non-Kerry event ....
In other words: Kerry is NOT invited nor expected
I have posted this before, but it is important enough for Swiftys to do so again.
The Dedication Ceremony of the Vietnam Unit Memorial will be held Armed Forces
Day at the Naval Amphibious Base on Coronado Island. This is the base at which
Brownwater Sailors trained before serving their one year tour in Vietnam.
...
The Memorial consists of a wall containing the names of those sailors that did not
return from South East Asia, the names of Medal of Honor awardees, and exhibits
of a Swift Boat, a Patrol Boat River (PBR) and a Command and Control Boat from
the Mobile Riverine Force.
Approximately 1000 US Navy and Coast Guard Veterans are signed up to attend
with representatives, color guards and exhibits from the current Special Warfare
Community and a fly by of helicopters from a San Diego area Coast Guard Base.
Update on the ceremony:
Images of the dedication can be found at Vietnam Unit Memorial Dedication
The "Roy Hoffmann Memorial Fund" contributed $50,000 for memorial upkeep

I see that the event has already taken place.
I gather that all went well. In other words, the honorless one did not make a visit to the event. |

Is it ok to copy out things like the pic above (memorial) etc and printout
for a scrapbook? It's just for me....oh, and my grandkids and other descendants. Nothing for sale or publication.
There's just so much good stuff here and there's is no way I can remember even a smidgeon of it or all the site addresses to stuff!
It'd make a very nice scrapbook and recording of history - and a lot
easier to 'review' from time to time !
... think I'd need to put url on back of pics etc just in case...anyone ever
wanted to access the 'source' - and the internet / this site is still up and running!
who knows, 50 yrs from now this may be considered a very ancient way
to access info ! good gravy - what could be next????? _________________ Stevie
