[Yes, this is funny – but you should know that the picture of Laura Bush does not do her justice. Then again, no pictures do. It is truly amazing how much MORE beautiful she is in person. The first time I met her, I was so startled by her beauty I whispered to her husband, "Mr. President, you're married to a movie star." "Don't I know it!" was his answer. She really is as gorgeous as a movie star in person... JW]

To be fair, external beauty doesn't make the person, alone. While we do have some real babes on the right, their outlook and attitudes is what I find even more attractive.

Likewise, that is what I find all too unattractive in a lot of the ones on the left. Many on the left are externally attractive, either today or in their youth, but when they open their mouths, they reveal the ugliness inside.

Thanks, GM, for that beautiful memory of Barbara Olsen. I still think of
her often, although I only knew her from her excellent legal commentary.
She's the only person that I "knew" who died on 9/11.

I showed the original post to my almost 25 year old (also beautiful)
daughter last night. After she remarked how beautiful "ours" were,
she mentioned something about their using really terrible pictures for
the others. I said that "theirs" are really pretty unattractive, but that
they also lack what is the most striking thing about "ours" - the love,
goodness, and genuine concern for others that comes from the hearts
of these wonderful women.

Most of theirs look like that most of the time. Barbara Olsen truly had class.

I am a little closer to 9/11 in that the son of one of the pilots who was on a United flight that hit the towers is a classmate of my son. I met Michael Horrocks once, but cannot say I knew him. Those who did thought highly of him.

In honored memory of one of OURS that will be greatly missed. The Republican Party is San Diego has lost one of their greatest supporters. Thank you Sharon for everything you did to make our lives better.
