Another Hollywood WWII vet who served proudly has passed. God speed and thanks. This man did 100 times what sKerry claimed. He was a Navy Lt and rescued 100 or so Marines at Betio-Tarawa Atoll during that bloody battle while drawing fire. His boat, about the size of a Swift boat (??), but nothing for protectioon but a 30 caliber MG. He was awarded a real purple heart and a genuine Bronze star in the best traditions of the US Navy. There are very few real heroes left in Hollywood. Eddie Albert was among the best to ever come out of that town. May he rest in peace and his memory be long remembered. _________________ Clark County Conservative |
