A hidden benefit of Rove's statement is it has brought Hillary out as a real "liberal". SWEET!!!

I say to Democrats, "If the 'liberal' shoe doesn't fit, don't put it on."

This Rove thing is outright Hillarious.

There is a theme with America's left..... 'Do not hold me Accountable for anything I may say or do'

Fellons get to vote.
Kerry was full of 'youthfull exuberance' at Winter Soldier
This Rove thing really, really hits the nail on the head.

Allot of Democrats who'se brains are hurting today.

I did not think much of Rove till I had the pleasure of hearing him give a long talk to some college students a couple of months back.

Since seeing him speak he's one of my favorites

Karl Rove: Misdirected Democratic Outrage

"Presidential advisor Karl Rove really knows how to get under the skin of Democrats. Of course, he is credited with the President’s campaign strategy in both election victories. He also is the mastermind of the president’s political agenda that has seemed to always be one step ahead of the Democrats. So, the “genius” Rove is unpopular with Democrats mostly because he is so good at what he does for George W. Bush."

~snip~
"What Rove said was factually correct. The Clinton administration response to terrorist attacks against this county was incredibly weak. We had opportunities to forcefully respond after the U.S.S. Cole incident, the African embassy bombings and the 1993 World Trade Center attack, but we missed the chance to strike hard against terrorism and found legal prosecution the preferred method.

President George W. Bush has a different philosophy on responding to terrorist threats. Rove was merely stating the obvious in his speech Wednesday night. If Democrats don’t like it, they shouldn’t blast Rove; they should simply look in the mirror."

Lest we overlook His Fraudulency...one who helped write the book on "divisive speech" for political gain...

Kerry leads attack on 'divisive' speech

By Rick Klein, Globe Staff
June 24, 2005

''That spirit of our country should never be reduced to a cheap, divisive, political applause line from anyone who speaks for the president of the United States," said Kerry, Democrat of Massachusetts, in a speech on the Senate floor. ''It is really hard to believe that last night in New York, a senior adviser -- the most senior adviser to the president of the United States -- is twisting, purposely twisting those days of unity in order to divide us for political gain."

Exactly the point of my earlier post. It's Rove's MASTERFUL "strategerie".

The Leftists REACTION is to attack Rove for his "outrageous" statement.

MAJOR media coverage is thus on the ISSUE of 911, the War on Terror, and WHY we are in Afganistan and Iraq, which most people have let recede in their minds.
It was a major reason for people to vote for Bush in 2004. They felt President Bush would do what it takes to keep us safe,
and Kerry would rely on the U.N.

The Left has been pounding Bush for over three years, and they are succeeding, according to recent poll numbers.
Rove, with his statement, has opened the door to re-awakening the public.

I may be wrong, but I believe Rove made this statement specifically to bring the Left charging to the fore. Their problem is that in order to decry Rove, he can counter each and every one with their OWN WORDS AND ACTIONS. I am sure he is armed with a compendium of quotes to show just where the Left was coming from both before and after 911.

The Sunday talk shows should be interesting. I hope Rove has armed the speakers for the White House with all the QUOTES they need.

Most of the patrons of this site recognize that there are Republicans and Democrats and separately there are Liberals and Conservatives. This is an important point because the majority of Americans automatically lump Republicans and Conservatives together and similarly lump Democrats and Liberals together. John McCain may be a Republican but he certainly acts like a Liberal. Zell Miller is a Democrat, but couldn't be a better Conservative. Mr. Rove's statement clearly shows an understanding of the situaton in America.

Spot on, especially considering George W. Bush is a Truman Democrat. Imagine how far the left has veered though that our President who I disagree with on many of his domestic policies would be mistaken for a far right winger because he wants to protect our national security. Truman purged the Democratic party of the Communists, yet they are back, in full force and noone on the horizon to counter them in the near future.

City Council To Weigh Bill Asking For Karl Rove's Resignation

June 24, 2005

"The City Council is weighing in on the controversial comments made by President George W. Bush's top adviser about the 9/11 attacks.

Democratic Speaker Gifford Miller says the Council will introduce a resolution next week that calls on the president to fire White House Senior Adviser Karl Rove.

The resolution reads: "Rove's rhetoric and cynical strategy of dividing Americans against each other for partisan gain has no place in our nation's public discourse."

Pataki Reads Hillary Riot Act on Rove

"I think it's a little hypocritical for Sen. Clinton to call on me to repudiate a political figure's comment, when she never asked Sen. Kudos to Rove for speaking up and doing it with style (unlike Dr. Mean Twisted Evil ).

Oldie but goodie - -

How many Liberals does it take to win a war?
January 21st, 2005

How many of you Liberals does it take to win a war?
Well how the hell can we tell? You won’t fight one anymore.
You say that you support the troops, but the truth’s plain as your face,
You’d pull us from the battle, march us home in full disgrace.
You’ve no stomach for the fighting, got no mettle, got no pluck;
If you ran this war on terror, we’d be a very well plucked duck.
The wolves of Jihad smell your dread, can smell your craven breath,
And emboldened by the fear they scent, lust for our bloody death.

“But wait,” you protest piously, “We are fighters for the poor.”
Might we suggest you start to fight, before wolves come through the door?
Do you think they’ll still believe in you, your poor, your gays, your blacks,
When the wolves run wild among them, sinking fangs into their backs?
Think then that they’ll be caring, when they’re counting out their dead,
We inflict pain upon a captive wolf to learn what’s in his head?
Do you really think, you bleeding hearts, when they bleed in scarlet torrents,
They’ll care we cage the savage wolves, search lairs without signed warrants?

For years we watched your “feel good” courts defang our criminal laws,
Handcuff our police, give felons rights, espouse the criminals’ cause.
Felonious wolves were freed to prey, and we suffered their wild rages
Till “thinking” men took back the courts, put the wolf packs back in cages.
With your same old clueless “feelings” you now decry this war;
And with your same old fuzzy logic, common sense you still ignore.
We must look into “root causes” and we must try to “feel their pain;”
Pardon if our eyes start rolling, at your same old lame refrain.

It’s hard to fathom whence you come, perhaps some flawed eugenics,
That begets utopian pessimists, sires optimistic cynics.
Thanks be the power to rule the land remains beyond your means;
A regime of yours, would be like, no doubt, being ruled by pimpled teens.
Your quixotic quest for a world love nest, denies some truths quite real,
Like the need to have some “thinking” folks to preserve your right to “feel.”
Abhorring blood on your own hands, there’s a hard truth you’ve ignored,
Someone else must take your plowshare, and beat it back into a sword.

So how many of you Liberals does it take to win a war?
Or is there simply nothing you believe worth fighting for?
How is it that you’ve never learned, like most when they grow older,
That appeasing badness is a bad idea, only makes the bad guys bolder.
Has your fear of spilling human blood made you Jihad’s useful fools,
Ignoring that their wolf packs never fight within the rules?
By your demand we stay our hand, you weaken and you bind us;
Forcing us to fight off wolf attacks with that hand tied behind us.

So we bend some rules, in war you fools; so what? Show some respect,
When it’s your fuzzy-headed “feelings” “thinking” men fight to protect.

"I think it's a little hypocritical for Sen. Clinton to call on me to repudiate a political figure's comment, when she never asked Sen. Durbin to repudiate his comments," Pataki told reporters, after she complained that he sat idly by as Rove blasted liberals for being soft on terror at a New York Conservative party function Wednesday night.

"She never responded when asked to respond [about Durbin]," Pataki complained. "She never responded to Howard Dean's insult to every single Republican, saying that they never earned an honest day's living.

"She never responded to Sen. Reid's unfair criticism of the president - he called the president a loser and a liar. He's never apologized - she never requested that."

"She never called for an apology or clarification when Moveon.org called for moderation and restraint in response to the terrorist attacks."

Pataki concluded: "So, when she does that, I'll be glad to listen to her call for me to ask someone to apologize."
